Firstly turn the printer off and leave it off for a few mins. This should clear the buffer.

If not then can delete the printer "from control panel", restart PC and then re-install the printer....but make sure you have/can get the driver for the printer first!

Sometimes if the cartridge was completely empty then a refill might not work, also there is no way of re-setting the ink levels unless you swap it over 4 times with other cartridges (there is a 3 cartridge memory so on the 4th cartridge change, you can use the 1st one and it will read as new)

The first thing you can is to open the cover and remove the ink head.Then clean their contacts and the ink head carrier of any ink on them.Then turn on/off and try again.

Trying to turn off the printer by unplug the power supply. Plug it back in and turn it on.

try to install dte printer driver correctly.

your one cartriage is short replace and then check

make sure there is no paper jam inside and all the catridegwes are proper and not dry.

1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
   NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon ( ). Figure 2: Example USB connection (your product might not look exactly the same as this example)
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Solution two: Service the product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

Hi, unfortunately HP does not provide a driver for Windows Server 2003. Your only options for installing this printer is to try one of the other drivers (such as XP or Vista), or finding a similar printer that does support Server 2003 and using that driver instead. Since most drivers use the PCL language, you may be able to get away with using another printer's driver (though you may lose some functionality).

There is no chip in hp21 or hp21 cartridges. kindly state your'e problem with the printer
