Canon Printer Pixma MP540 with

Try to press down on the sponge to get it to work again. It may be a waste toner issue, which generally is repaired at an authorized service center for canon by contacting 1-800-OK CANON or logging on to canonusa.com.

Good luck on this.

Why won't my printer print?

I'd tried cleaning/deep cleaning a billion times and it was never getting any better, and my ink levels were just being depleted from the process. STRESSFUL. But actually after calling in, I was asked to check whether there was a slit above the ink label (like an upside down L) on the large black cartridge, and I had to remove a bit of a packaging sticker to see if it was there. It was this sticker remnant that was actually blocking the slit and stopping cartridge from being used properly. I don't know how this works exactly but that's how it went down. After removing the sticker, it printed black like a charm. SO, if you've tried cleaning more than should be necessary and it's not a problem with the print head, it might just be a bit of sticker that is causing your problem. Thought I'd share, just in case.

How do I clear a B200 error. I have turned printer of but error is still there

B200 error on a Canon Printer generally means a permanent failure of the print head caused by overheating (running out of ink and ignoring the message and printing further). A costly mistake. In the future, do not print after the first message to change an ink tank. Simply replace it as new heads are very pricey. But a new head is still cheaper than a new printer, so if the rest of the printer/Scanner still works well (or I should say that it did before the B200 error, as that is a "show stopper!", and the printer will not operate further once this error is detected. Only a new head will restore the printer to working), buy a new head. Sometimes the head is damaged, but no fault error is generated and the printer simply prints nothing on the paper, (or missing one colour or some Pixels and cleaning does not help), but thinks it is. I am sure that this is just that the fault detection is simply not sophisticated enough to detect some errors. For example, it can detect a shorted head element, but not an open circuit problem for example!! Just guessing though!! Canon keeps the actual reason for many errors secret, I personally do not know why.....this is one of those errors..... By the way, second hand heads on ebay are generally a waste of time unless you can go there and test the head before buying, which is very unlikely.....Only buy Brand new Canon heads, with a guarantee and still sealed in the original bag, check at purchase time....from a reputable dealer.anon printers showing this error with I have fixed several Canon printers with a new head. MG5xxx for example, but I cannot guarantee the fix for simply any printer, its only my limited experience that has been tested.... Best of luck.
