My monitor is the wrong color it appears blue

Assuming you have never played with the monitor's menu settings before, and most everything seems OK - but with a blue tinge, I would check the video cable. Make sure there are no bent or pushed pins, the cable has not been severely pinched with no cuts or frays. Also ensure that it is connected thumb-tight on both ends. If you still have the problem, substitute the cable with a known good cable. And then of course you can try the monitor settings, but I would need a model number to be specific. If you play with settings before checking the cable, be sure to note the current settings because you can cause a setting problem if your problem is something other than a setting problem, such as the video cable. If your computer has VGA/DVI/ or HDMI outputs and you have the cables, this could also be helpful in case your problem turns out to be your video card.

How 2 fix bad pixels

I am afraid to say if you cant fix bad pixels uinless its actaully a software or fault with the graphic you are trying to look at for example. You would have to buy an entire new screen for your monitor or just a whole new monitor.

Check ALL cables, connections, pins, if you can, reset to default settings on the monitor. Is it under warranty? Any damage? Have you done ANY graphic updates? Hardware upgrades?

How can i stop my hpw2007 monitor from shutting

Right click the background of the monitor, click personalize and see if you have the screen saver on. If you have remove it. Also check the power setting in same screen which would list some option like hibernate, sleep or do nothing. Thanks.

Why does the monitor go black while my son is

It is either your computer is over heating or the mother board is going bad. spray the fan out real good with air then try it and see if that fixes the problem. also make sure that it is not laying flat that way it gets more air flow.

My computer is running so slow..I have done some

It may well be some form of virus or spyware.

It may also be that you have too many applications running at once eg. lots of toolbars and instant message typ programs.

It can also happen on graphic intensive applications.

You should rule out nasty stuff first.

MBAM !

for a free one its pretty darned good !

From a CLEAN computer download and put on a flash drive.

Copy to your DESKTOP on the suspec computer.

Run it but dont change any options just use what it offers.

When its done let it clean anything it finds.

Its where I always start with an infected machine.

As for antivirus AVOID Norton or Mcafee but try the AVG FREE version MBAM should clean up without buying

Only continued use would require purchase As for too many applications that would be up to you to decide what you REALLY need and dont. Most toolbars are a waste of both time and space and can hog computers down. Maybe a good clean up is in order ?

It may just be a "leaking application"

These are badly coded programs that dont release memory when they should and just keep taking more to do the same job.

May I suggest you download
"hijackthis"

It is a program that can make a report on what you have running in such a way that you can post that information to certain sites and experts there will look at it.

They will then give you reccomendations as to how you can remove programs or fix some issues that may be upsetting your computer.

Dont post the log here but follow the nstructions and help the program offers to send it to one of the sites it will offer you.

If you understand startup lists you may even be able to spot som things yourself that you dont want to run and disable them from hijack this.

try resetting (turning off and turning on after 3 min) your modem or router or hub (whichever you're using). Then right click the little icon in the task bar that represents your network connection and select 'Repair'

(so is distraction to what it is)the real name of the Laptop is and was Presario CQ61 laptop CQ61 the PC has bottom sticker that shows the real names of PCs.CQ61-219TU is real name of on CQ61, there area many different sub codes, and they are not all the same.CQ61-306AX this had CCFL (cold cathode florecent lamps) that love to fail 3 waysdead, blinks ,dime or yellow = white.was made until 2009 and evolved, to LED backlamps.-410 is CCFLI will answer for CCFL as those just love to fail, but the the test is so easynow the answer for ANY laptop this old. 2007 and older. black screen all the time, and BIOS screens dead, answers only me. here. remove the main battery (large) it simply snaps off the bottom.the power pack is next we run the PC on your power pack AC to DC it must make the screen glow with something, do not use the wrong pack as in mixed up with others.now the lap top seems on, even the fan blows, LED glowpoint a flash lamp at the screen ,dark' room , and of you see any kind of LCD data on the screenthe CCFL lamp below #1 is bad.this is phase 1 testing, as other things can fail too. The keyword below is Mercurythis tells me it is those pesky CCFL glow tubes. 2007 is the year some PC went to LED back lamps. yes I was correct the service manual I did find proves they made both lamp types ccfl-hp07-psnmcz4s4yabbrmds04n13cd-d-0.jpg
