One DOESN'T need a service manual to replace a hard drive!

You just need to open the case where the drive is. Usually a few screws that are obvious on a cover on the bottom of the units for most laptops. Some have only a couple screws then a carrier slides out.

There is usually a carrier that may require a couple more screws to remove and then up to four screws holding the drive to the carrier.

There often is an adapter plugged onto the drive which you have to transfer to the new drive in some cases.

Just go slow an keep the screws in little divided tray to make sure you put the right length back for each location.

I take it you need a new case--I would suggest looking on e-Bay. That is my first choice for spare parts. Of course, you could contact the manufacturer, but you would be paying too much!

Resetting Username and password: b>*Start your computer
*Keep pressing "F8" as the computer starts.

Edit the CONFIG.CFG file in the game directory with Notepad or a similar text editing program. Find the line "uset g_console" and change the number 0 to a 1. This will switch on the debug/game console. Save the COINFIG.CFG file.

When you get there then scroll down and select where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the network software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

welcome to Fixya. Try the Fn+F2 combination. This will turn on/off the wireless network. You should see the wireless connection icon on your system tray. Just double click on it and connect to your specific network.

Generally you will have do look at several things for removing laptop parts.....the screen has a plastic bezel around it which generally has rubber feet on it to pad them. In order to remove the bezel, you can remove the rubber pads which are stuck on with an adhesive.....usually under there, are some screws to unscrew. then also there is a plastic bezel generally at the top of the keyboard which you can gently pry off to reveal the hinges and additional screws

most touchpad drivers will work on windows 7 but the program which control the functionality of the touchpad "Synaptics" or ALPS" pointing device may not be compatible in win7 this is an issue with most computer manufacturers but not their fault since win7 is a new operating system and possibly in the near future who knows when windows will come with a windows update to make touchpads work in windows having all it's functionality available.

try calling your computers maker and ask if they have work arounds for your touchpad some may have options to make all your touchpads functionality work but some may not try calling them and have them check it for you, they should know better since they are trained for the specifics of your system.^_^

also you could look for a scanner some websites use a scanner to scan your laptop to offer you some drivers or updates but you will have to go up top of your screen and allow the scanner to load if you want to use it. it is good practise to use the scanner when its available

The laser assemblies suffer from dust. Give the lens a gentle wipe with a dry cotton bud. If that fixes it great otherwise you may be looking at a replacement unit.

do you have the no lock on by mistake

up on the top right of the keyboard there is quite often a key with blue writing on it saying Numlk

try pressing FN+numlk at the same time and see if that fixes the problem

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps
