How can i istall windows server 2000 on Dell Poweredge T300

Windows 2000 is not supported on this machine. The closest you could get is using a hypervisor XenServer or VMWare ESXi and then installing Windows 2000 on a virtual machine.

Dell poweredge t300 server e1410 cpu 1 error

The e1410 is an error that is reporting an interruption to the CPU processes. It isn't identifying an issue with the processor specifically, it is just saying its processes were interrupted. Normally when you see the E1410 you will see another error listed with it in the hardware log. Do you see any other errors in the log? Also, what is the BIOS and Drac versions at currently? I ask because the server being very out of date can cause issues like this as well. Let me know what you see.

I have a poweredge t300 server and am having an issues connecting to certain website which I can log on to using a different computer not connected to the server which leads me to believe it has to do

Your corporate Firewall is denying access. I don't know what this site is or does, but you can put in a request to allow access with your IT guy or use it at home.

Sounds like you're running into a security limitation. Firewall, etc... Corporate software is perhaps blocking the request for that site. Honestly? I'm not really clear on the situation as your question is poorly constructed. I'm guessing this is too old to be an issue at this point, however.

Power supply

It's one of two things, you have something loose and your fan is rubbing on rubber in there, you just need to take it apart use some air duster and dust it out and see if anything is rubbing or second option is that your power supply has gone out completely and will need to be replaced.

Dell T300 memory config error

Verify size and type off memory. Also the slots used are a variable. There should be DIMM configuration table on the removable panel or better yet look for the manual.

Server Randomly Reboots

First, go to Dell's website and update all the firmware and install the latest version of Dell Server Administrator. DSA has logs information not logged by Windows. Next, take it outside and blast the fans with compressed air, make sure all components and cables are properly seated in their slots/sockets, turn it on with the cover off and make sure all the fans are spinning. Many servers will increase the fan speed if they detect the cover is off so this is another possible cause to the problem. Finally, Dell servers have lifetime support, this number should work: (800) 945-3355Good luck!BTW: A temporary workaround might be to use a network controlled outlet that you can remotely turn off and on. Your UPS might be able to turn outlets on and off or you could get a stand alone network controlled outlet. Some can actually ping the device and turn power off and on again if it stops replying to pings. (E.g. IP Power EV-9255 IP http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1470N64280)

I have blue background and no desktop

Hello,I will assume you are trying to connect to another desktop from the server... You may need to setup share properties on the desktop to access it from the network. If you are using VM software on the server and having this issue, you need to reconfigure the VM setting for your user access level. Good LuckC2S

I have a PowerEdge 2950

Hi,

According to u I understand that the hard disk of your Power edge is faulty & need to recover the data.

You don't have say the exact problem of your hard drive. If your hard drive detect in your system Bios but you can't access Data or OS from safe mode also then try to format only the OS drive or repair the drive with your server OS CD. If you get perform it well then you can recover your data by transferring data to another external drive.

If The Hard drive doesn't detect then first try to change the cables (Data & Power)of the Hard drive. If detect it then try to access it or perform the previous job.

For detection of the Hard drive you can try to attach this drive to another system in slave or as secondary drive. If detect then you can recover data.

If your hard drive get crashed then use data recovery CD to recover data. Insert disk, install software, and recover the data by follow the option of the software.

This software is available in market.

Have another process to recover data from a crashed Hard drive. It is freezing but try it carefully. Place the hard drive into a baggy, seal it tightly and put it in the freezer overnight. The next day remove it from the baggy and put it in the external drive case.

Transfer the data from the drive before it warms too much and crashes again.

You boot to the CD and it walks you through setting up arrays and installing the OS.
If you don't have the CD you can download it.
