T.V. WILL NOT TURN ON.
my t.v. didn't have a blown fuse, so my fix may not work for you. mine would turn on and read "digital television" then go into "calibration" or "service" mode where the screen shows changing colors without ever showing a picture. by chatting online with the service department (something you may want to do), i found that by using the original remote for my t.v. i could easily hit two buttons on it to bring it out of that mode. i found one after searching extensively on amazon, bought it for $20 and this t.v. found in a dumpster has been working like new ever since. more serious problems with an emerson t.v. may not be worth putting money into as they're a low end brand of electronics.
TV will not come on but power light does

Only half the screen works. shuts down by itself
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop
Want to connect fiber optic audio cable
If you have something providing an optical signal, you will need something such as a receiver that will accept and decode the optical signal. If you are able to make use of the HDMI instead of the optical audio channel, this would be the easiest bet. Otherwise you are looking at needing to get a receiver if you want to have more than 10W of stereo output, or if you simply wish to convert the optical signal into something the TV can understand, any fiber optic to analog converter, such as Amazon item B003OND0N4 (Search that string on Amazon)

Direct Code Entry
- Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then
release the SETUP button.
- Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator
blinks, then stays lit.
- Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry,
the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
- With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further
programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try
one of the other codes for your brand.
