Remove the connector that goes to the remote board and see if it stays then, if it does that board needs replacing, its not an expensive board, if it still changes on its own then its the main board that is bad, that one is much more money.

Are you connecting this to a cable television set top box? If so what type of box is it and make and model number? Also who is the provider?

I found a way around this problem. When this happens, don't use the remote.

Walk up to the TV, then HOLD DOWN the power button and while the lights are flashing, start pushing the menu button on the TV at the SAME TIME.

Then your screen will turn on. No idea why this works. Just stumbled on it while getting ********** that this TV, I had less than a month, suddely would not come on anymore. I was about to unplug the whole thing to take back to WalMart and just started pushing button combinations and found this worked.

Try to unplug it and hold the power button for 30 secs. If that does not work it would be best to take it to a repair shop. The inside of the tv is very dangerous and if you do not know how to handle high voltage circuits you may injure or kill yourself.

If your remote is a learning remote (has a little black glossy square on the top left side of the remote) you don't need a code, you just need the original remote. Place both remotes on a table, or other flat, sturdy surface, with the original TV remote facing the square on the DISH remote. Make sure both remotes have functioning batteries. Check its picture settings first. If color intensity is decreased to Zero, there will be no color to picture. Get into its picture set up option, and check this first. If it is found normal, check the system settings, such as PAL, SECAM, NTSC etc. If there is an option to select the system settings to "Auto" (if your TV is a multisystem one, this option will be there), select this option"Auto".
