Download a new operator's manual from Whrilpool. If unavailable go to the contact menu and e-mail them... you'll find they will be happy to supply you with a new one as a pdf file.

If its older than a fee years you may need to clean the outdoor coil. It may be shutting down due to high pressure. I couldn't locate a Google hit so I'm assuming its a window a/c? If so the "air entering" side of the outdoor coil can get dirty and you normally can't see this side until the unit is removed. But you can try to UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL!!! And the take a water hose and spray from the outside of the outdoor coil. This will try and remove debris. Its always best to remove from window to clean if possible. If the outdoor coil gets dirty it will retain its heat instead of rejecting it to the atmosphere, and heat retension will increase freon pressure causing a high pressure/temperature sensor/switch to open.

There is a low freon pressure switch in the system. A small amount of freon will show enough pressure to start the unit. As soon as the compressor starts the low side pressure (where the switch is) drops and shuts the unit off.

You probably don't, Justin. It's probably permanently attached to the upper / outer shell, so you probably have to take the whole shell off the air conditioner to clean it.

Replace gas valve.

If it's blowing very MUCH of it, then it's coming in from outside. There's very little inside an air conditioner that could possibly generate smoke, and VERY little that could possibly generate any LOT of white smoke. Now... it's POSSIBLE, if your humidity is high right now, that it's blowing cold enough air to condense the humidity in the air, causing an actual cloud (just like the ones in the sky) inside your house. That can happen only when the humidity is very high, though.

I suggest that you try turning the unit off, unplugging it, and leaving it turned off for a couple of minutes. Sometimes these appliances can be reset by turning them off, waiting, then turning them back on. It's similar to rebooting a computer when it's hung-up.

Open the door part way until it rests open. Grasp door on side edges with either hand and pull straight up at the angle the door is resting.

There aren't any latches on the Maytag MGR5780 oven door hinges. You should be able to open the door to the first stop (about 4" from the closed position). Then grab the sides of the door and lift the door up at that same angle until the door clears both hinge arms.
