I have two motorola cls 1110 walkie talkies that

In testing we have been unable to duplcate your flash r13 F8. You might try restoring the factory settings by holding the PTT and the MENU button in for 3 seconds while turning the radio ON. (You will need to do this to all your CLS1110 radios in order for them all to match.) If this doesn't clear the problem, then try swapping the battery with a known good radio and see if it solves the issue. If so, you need a new rechargeable battery pack. If resetting the radio and / or changing the battery does not solve the problem then your radio likely needs replaced. Schematics and parts were never made available for this model. Best regards.

Changed the battery in my 2-Way Radio CLS1110 and it will turn on but when you push talk it goes off

The battery is bad or not charged. Check your charger and charger/battery connection. Clean all contacts with a pencil eraser and try charging again. With a new battery it may take up to 3 charge cycles to fully charge your battery. Best regards.

My Motorola CLS1110 Two way

You may have a bad battery, or even dirty battery contacts. A few troubleshooting ideas include:
1) Swap the battery to another known good CLS1110 radio and see if the other radio has the same problem when placed on the charger. If so, you have a bad battery. This type of battery typically lasts approx. 18-24 months before needing replaced.
2) If swapping the battery proves to be successful, check the battery contacts on the affected radio for debris, scum or dirt. Clean the contacts on the charger and the radio with a pencil eraser if needed. (The fact you have to readjust the walkie in the charger indicates you might have problems with the contacts.)
3) Try the battery from the known good radio in the affected radio, if the battery charges correctly, you know the radio is fine. If the charger blinks with the known good battery, then you know you have a radio problem.

Best regards.

Motorola Solutions CLS1110:i'm trying to fix the

We work on these all the time. At the top, pry off the plastic clip where the carry clip clicks in. Under this, there are two more torx screws. Now it comes apart! The antenna is soldered onto the main board and not really replaceable. We re-solder them fairly often. We replace them by using broken radios. Motorola does not sell this part. Email if you want parts. We have a lot of CLS.

Is motorola cls-1110 compatible with bpr40 radios

yes, with conditions. The CLS comes preprogrammed with frequencies and tone codes. The BPR requires software and cables. It is not a preprogrammed business radio, but a fully programmable business radio. If your BPR radios are first: UHF, then they can be programmed to match the CLS. Do note, a few of the CLS frequencies are approved by the FCC for low power only, meaning a maximum of 2 watt power output. Find a dealer willing to do the programming for you if you do not understand. Our shop does it often.

Why static on motorola CLS 1110?

Are you referring to static (random snapping, crackling, popping) that only occurs when you are handling the radio, or a steady hissing sound when turned on? The first may indicate the radio has a defect or loose internal connection; the second is reduced by adjusting the squelch setting. More information is always helpful.

How can you test a band radio earpiece cord

An earpiece cord often breaks internally. The test is to put it on a known working radio and see if it works. If so, then you test the audio jack on the radio, which is better left up to a service shop. I assume you are using a cord with the correct Motorola pins and not trying to "make" something work. The make idea is great, but often ends in disaster.

What device do you use to test a cp200 earpiece cord

The best test is a radio with a known good or new accessory jack. Cords to earpieces and other audio accessories are the common failure part of the device. They can be damaged at the grommet (near the plugs) by users who repeatedly plug and unplug them. The wiggling side-to-side motion can break solders and wire connections. Also some users will twirl the earpiece on the wire when not in use, a bad nervous habit which can break the wire in the cord. Earpiece are not considered repairable, and simply need replaced when they fail. The other thing you could be having trouble with is the audio accessory jack on the radio. This can be damaged by repeated use, and can get wobbled out over time. Each seems to have their own "sweet spot", sometimes simply swapping earpieces with another radio will make a previously failed device work great. On the CP200 radio it is strongly advised to use the optional audio accessory retain to hold any plug in place. Then you can leave your device plugged in and save wear-n-tear on the jack. Best regards
