Samsung PN42A400 42 in. Plasma TV Questions & Answers
I have a 42" Samsung
This clacking and clicking noise could have been coming from a capacitor going bad in the tv. If this is the case where the tv will not turn back on, I would suggest calling samsung to try to get a replacement or get the tv serviced. Trying to replace bad capacitors can be a tedious job and requires knowledge of soldering small components. This may also void your warranty if you still have coverage.
While listening to music channel on uverse, the tv
usually clicking is bad capacitors or it could be a short on your power supply. Try unplugging power, wait 2 minutes, plug back in. If it still clicks, you can look inside for bad caps.. =

Samsung plasma tv white spots
Hi tim
To answer your question;
The only thing that an extended warranty doesn`t usually cover is physical damage or abuse.
You problem is technical and therefore should be cover.
Hope this help Good luck
I cannot adjust the volume on my Samsung 42" Plasma (PN42a400)
The fact that it turns on is good. Most likely the trouble is with a data line internal in the set. It may be the remote receiver IC or a push button on the set. A stuck button or switch can confuse or load communication between internal microprocessor circuits. Take a look or feel each of the push buttons do they feel the same when pushed ? Do they have a slight snap when pushed. The tac switches used in most cases are made like a small old clicker. If one feels soft and has no snap it's probably your trouble. If so tap lightly around but not on the button and it might free itself. You should just have Samsung replace whatever is the cause.
