A thorough cleaning of the fans and heat sinks should be performed every three mmonths or so, depending on how dusty your home is, or if you have pets.These fans 'should' last as long as the set does...but they won't. Just try and run a floor model cooling fan in your house and see if you can get 5000 hours out of it! Not gonna happen.The fans are relatively easy to replaced once the rear cover is removed. They either snap into place on the chassis, or have a couple screws. The wiring is a simple plug. Don't yank on it!!! There may be a small catch tab release you'll have to satisfy before you can unplug it. And NEVER insert of remove these plugs any way except straight in and straight out.Hope this helps some of you DYI-ers out there.
