The unit should be removed and cleaned. It is not releasing the condensate water from the pan. A thorough flushing with a water hose becareful not to bend the fins or either the evaporator or condenser coil and being careful not to wet the electronics should resolve your problem. Ensure that you flush it good at the bottom of the evaporator coil the flush the pan from any dirt or debris so that the unit will drain properly. Also let the unit dry first before returning electrical power to it so not to electicute yourself or damage any electrical components.

Sounds like a lot of

It's not uncommon to hear water splashing in a thru the wall or window unit. However, it would be a good idea to check out side to make sure that the condensation pan's drain hole is not clogged and the the unit is tilted down at the rear at least1/4" to 1/2". This allows the water to flow to the rear and reach the drain hole or tubing efficiently.

I hope this helped answer your question.

My air conditioning united seems

Sounds like the rear coil may be stopped up with dirt, etc. If it is, the unit will not cool properly. You may just be able to unplug it and wash it out with a hose and sprayer from the back of the unit. If its real dirty, you will have to pull the unit out of the window, take the case off and clean it real good. If you wash it out from the back, be sure you can do it when you can leave the unit off for an hour to dry. Let me know if I can help you any more of if this doesn't work. Stay cool. mark

Had my air conditioner in the window for a few

This usually caused by high humidity and a build up in the condensation pan under the unit. Or the drain pan has a clog it's drain In addition, if the outside part of the unit is not sloped (tilted) down 1/2", to allow the water to run to the back of the pan it builds up under the front of the unit.
