Kenmore Elite Oasis 6808 Electric Dryer Questions & Answers
My kenmore elite quietpak 9 dryer blows air but does not get hot, how do I fix it?
ELECTRIC Dryer no heat or little heat, or shuts down to fast:
Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it)
Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective or has a short if its grounding out? Which in turns causes blown fuses or thermostats or overheating.
Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220,
Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.
In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum
Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Kenmore Elite Oasis ST electric dryer does not heat
You need to replace the heating coil that is usually the problem when you get air and and the tumbler is moving but no drying you can also check the lint catcher and clear out your dryer outgoing vent remove the hose check the dryer vent where the vent hose is connected and the vent going outside the house before changing the heating coil .
How to replace a heating element on a Kenmore Elite Oasis ST dryer
Sounds like you need to replace the timer one the dryer not the element but to make sure I would do a little trouble shooting to rule out the element or heating coil turn on dryer cycle like normal for about 30 seconds then open the door to feel for heat if you do feel heat its your cycle/timer knob if you don't feel heat then it's the coil or element witch are the same also first always check your lint trap and ducts going outside the dryer make sure you have proper airflow through ducts vents. clogged vents ducts ect. Cause over heating of element coil causing a safety fuse to shut down heating coil/element but will not stop cycle also moisture censors detect moisture causing cycle to continue on hope this helps.
Burning smell in dryer
Have you checked the motor? Plenty of lint and dust gets indie it. If you can remove if and use compressed air to blow it out. Also don't overlook the fact all the spade connectors will also collect lots of lint and dust which is quite flammable. Also check the tensioner and guide wheel they get pretty dirty and when they heat up the lint can start buring.
Where is the thermistor located on model # 110.67032601
I couldn't find it either on the Sears diagram even with a search. What makes you think it is the thermistor? If you have a no heat problem it is probably not. If the dyer runs but not heat first keep it simple make sure there is 240 VAC at the outlet. If you have one bad fuse or a bad circuit breaker it can cause a no heat situation. There are many components that can cause a no heat situation if that is what you have. I need more information to help you.

Kenmore elite oasis st model #110.68062801 won't run.
First check the breaker. You may have one leg out. Then check the starter switch. Also check the door switch. It could be broken or mislodged. When it is fully engaged, it will start up. Lastly the motor could be burned out. If it is an older model, then consider a new one. However, the repair on this is not that high if you can do it yourself.
