My dryer's barrel will not turn. I have

Hello Mwagner, sounds like the Idler bearing pulley assembly has come loose from the belt. It's job is to keep tension on the belt so the motor is able to turn the dryer drum. By watching some videos online it seems that alot of teardown is required to get to the part you need to inspect and or replace. Here is a link for you to look at that might help you. Dryer runs, but doesnt heat. Every now and then will heat up for a few minutes , then stops.

first would check ur venting to the wall and into and out of the machine? the blower? is it blowing hard or soft at the back exhaUST? IF THIS IS GAS then I would check the flame sensor, igniter and more than likely the safety valve and coils? I suspect the coils are not putting out enough pressure consistantly to keep the flame lit? check with an Ohm meter not just for continuity but for an OHMS rating as per ur schematic. it should be putting out a certain amount of ohms if the coils are bad u will get intermittent heat? the igniter and flame sensor will go on and off over and over.

The high limit thermal switch on heater burns out.

There are two thermostats, a 'limit' or 'operating' thermostat which turns the heating element on and off, and a 'high limit' or 'safety' thermostat which oversees the 'operating' thermostat by opening and removing power to the heating element when the upper limit temperature is reached. Basically, the only difference between these two are the temperature ratings. The 'high limit' is higher than the 'operating' thermostat. The thermal fuse is the last resort protection.

First and foremost, you must know that every inch of your exhaust vent pipe is clean.

Usually, a bimetallic limit switch will degenerate in the direction of too low of a temperature range because as the parts wear out inside, the mechanical tolerance widens (the tiny rod that pushes the contacts together gets shorter).

The high limit thermostat is by the thermal fuse. The operating thermostat is in the blower housing.

Check the fan impeller for broken vanes and lint. The impeller is directly coupled to the motor and should not turn without the motor. The fan housing and ducting should be free of excess lint.

Good luck.

My Samsung front load

Hi Jolene...You could have numerous problems causing your dryer not to heat.
I included some things to try and locate the problem part.
You can buy the parts needed on the following websites or numerous other website that sell parts.
http://www.partselect.com/
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks.
If this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the
wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed
component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame.
Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.
Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed.
If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause
heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the
thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors. Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape
or with an ohm meter to test the thermostat/thermistor. (Should have/show continuity)
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
(Thermal fuse.If it overheats the dryer will not operate. It's located on the blower housing. It cannot be reset. A vent clogged
with lint can cause it to overheat. You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it)
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST.
This could cause a FIRE, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's
plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.

My drum dryer is making noise when spinning

Your best option is to get a technician to look at it and quote for a repair. A squeaky drum could be anything from the dryer not positioned level, a worn drive belt slipping, a worn out drum bearing or worn motor.

Samsung Dryer dv42h5200ep/a3 Stuck On Cooling

According to a post on applianceblog.com, this issue could be caused by a blocked vent or vent hose, which can trigger the HE error. You can start by checking if the vent and vent hose are not blocked. If that's not the issue, you can try measuring the voltage across RY5, RY6, and RY7 on the main power board during a normal dry cycle. If there is no voltage, you may need to replace the control panel . If you're looking for more information on troubleshooting your Samsung dryer, appliancepartspros.com has a comprehensive guide that lists common symptoms and their causes for your model .

Samsung error code DE can't clear it?

Since you had a garment get caught in the door, check the hinges and the door latch and striker. Something could be damaged, bent, loose or deformed. You may be able straighten the part or replace the specific part to get the door to close properly. A problem with the door switch or the wiring is also possible. However, I wouldn't check that the switch is not providing the locked signal to the control board until the door closes with the correct alignment of the latch. If you do need to check the wiring, see https://fleetappliance.com/dryer-repair/how-to-fix-samsung-dryer-error-code-de/ for accessing the lock mechanism. I hope this helps. For further information, including a check for a parts list, please add a comment with the model number of your dryer. Cindy Wells

Samsung Dryer DV203AEW/XAC blowing fuses and seemingly too hot?

A newer element will only cause it to run too hot if it was a hotter element (more kilowatts) than the old one. Over heating problems are usually caused by poor air flow. If you got as far as the element you must have cleaned all the INTERNAL ductwork and the fan itself? EXTERNALLY, the exhaust hose should be as short as possible and without bends. Also check the duct through the wall, and check that the louvres on the outside are opening fully when the dryer is running. Birds love to make nests in there unless you have a cage on the outer vent. If it is 7 years old, it might just be time to invest in a new one. Having said that, my Whirlpool is 15 years old. ..
