Door switch or thermal fuse most likely.

overheating thermostat switch could be the cause try different temperature like cooler or hotter if the same thing happens then get a tech person to fix it because if you don't know anything about leave it alone because it could cause a fire .ie burn the clothes in the dryer

There is no way to test other than replacement.

check both back and front system for blockage.. venting sytem may have obstrution

replace filter

check the back venting system and the front system still can be clogged by particals getting past the screen look inside the fornt system with screen out.

Turn the drum by hand to see if it makes the noise.

You will need to replace the auto dry sensor on your dryer.

pull off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to thermostat. It is a 3 minute operation if you can get to the right side access port.

Have you checked your circuit breakers to make sure they have tripped??Look at the junction box behind the dryer where the power cord connects to the electrical system of the dryer. Open the panel and make sure that the connection is clean and tight. If it has any burn marks, you will need to replace the whole wire harness under LG's repair policy.If these problems are eliminated, then you may have a problem inside the heating element or it's high limit switch which is inside the dryer and require disassembly.Hope this helps.
