depends if its a windows password or a hdd/bios password.
bios password needs the cmos battery removed for a few mins, windows password is a lot harder, try using google

make sure the wireless switch is on then try to update the wireless driver of your computer. you can download the latest wireless driver from your computer manufacturer's web site then restart the computer

Did you press Fn+F8? You should also try right clicking on the desktop, bringing up display properties, and messing around there. Alternatively, there may be a setting on your TV that is not set properly.

I have Dell Inspiron 1520 and I have issue to built in microphone is not working. I tried to execute the Sigma Tel driver from Dell Driver and Support website but prompted 'Exit Error; Error : Device Object not present, Restart system and run setup. Then, asked Dell support to help and they are not really helpful, after System Restore and drivers upload and finally asked to reformat the laptop........

Anyway, this is what works for me.

1) Download the Sigma Tel driver from Dell Support Drivers page and save it in Desktop
2) Shutdown your computer
3) Start your computer and press F8 at the Dell Logo page
4) Select Safe Mode (not others)
5) Proceed to work on Safe Mode
6) Right-click the Sound icon and activate the Sound icon
7) Select Recording device.
8) If still not working, then execute the Sigma Tel driver that saved in desktop

then, shutdown the computer and start as normal, you may see the system able to detect the built in Microphone then.

Hope it will work the same for you too..!!

in that case you could take it back to the shop and they should fix it there for you.

Call Dell and ask them to replace the motherboard. It is faulty and as such should be covered under warranty

It does not actually have one, which is quite strange for a businness-end DELL laptop.

If you require a serial port on this laptop, however, you can purchase an E-Port from DELL. Just search 'dell e-port' and it should be the first result for your region.

What operating system are you running (XP, Vista, Windows 7???)

Depend what kind of security protocol you are using in your wireless network. So try to change to WEP2 in router and computer.

have you ran any antivirus programs? you may want to download and run malware bytes (its free and works great0 to make sure there isn't any infections causing problems. Also make sure you didn't power it off with a hot key stroke.

It depends on both the TV and the model of laptop. If you have a pc input on TV (most newer LCD's do) then you can simply use a standard VGA cable to display it onto the televison. You may have to hit a hot key on the laptop to make it display to the tv. I.E. CTRL f4 or something of that nature. if you can list the model and make of both then i can walk you through it.

does the dell have built in or wireless card hookup?..if its built in it should connect just fine unless you dont have drivers for your wireless. do you have the wireless secured?...oh yeah the wireless card, u need drivers for it or the card isnt compatible with the laptop

have you upgraded your OS(operating system)?

If you do, you must find a UISB driver that will support your new OS
