Be still my heart! I'm coming to Indy on Tuesday afternoon!
It's not the 7731/TVA-50 that's bad for business, it's the TA-824. Don't tell my Accountant, Restaurant, Machine Shop, and small business customers that. They might want their money back :-)
Are there any blinking lights on the TVA when you reset it? It indicates lost integration. We make sure we plug both the VM and the system into the same power strip so that the systems can restart together. The laughable part would be that you have your offices cleaned on Friday evenings and a cleaning crew turns off the power or uses the outlet that the system is plugged into.
A message can be displayed by pressing the MESSAGE button on the phone when it's idle. All messages can be cleared by dialing 700 0.
Voice mail forwarding to a cell phone covers a broad spectrum. You can forward the fact there's a message, the file, or just notify the cell that there's a call. Two of the 3 requires the LAN card, but it also forwards to email. The dummy is the installer who didn't leave setup instructions for the voice mail system...or was he smart? Hard to say :-)
Last, If you want to touch base with me, I can be reached at
[email protected] where I can give you contact information. My Indy trip may be by way of Columbus, OH if I don't get the remote system to respond to programming. The Panasonic system can be accessed via remote after programming so it may be that I can take over the system and make it work for you.
