How do I change the
This is one of those conditional answers. Your 7731 works on one of 18 different Panasonic systems. Which one is yours? In a TA series, you get 5,10,15, or 20 seconds before the forward works. That's all you have. It's different in a TAW, TD, TDA, and probably non existant in any system prior to the TD.
The time is adjusted system wide as program 202. In a TAW and TDA it's adjusted per phone.

I am getting a pref.Out
HUH? You program autodial for the SYSTEM from a SYSTEM phone in SYSTEM programming. You program the "auto dial" buttons, the ones on the right side of your phone from the phone by pressing PROGRAM one of the 12 buttons and dialing "9" plus the number SAVE.
If you are trying to program one of the left side buttons for autodial (bad move) then you dial "29" first.

What happens when you dial 700-0 on the intercom?
7731's work on 18 different Panasonic models, but they were first delivered with the later TA series phone systems. You could press the MESSAGE key and look at the display to see where the message came from, but I don't think you can erase it on a 7731. So, just record the fact, then 700-0 and poof. All gone.

How do I turn Do
It really depends on which one of group of up to 18 cabinets your 7731 is connected with, but in a TA series, 714# on the intercom sets, 710# clears. You can also press Intercom the FWD/DND button and dial 0#. (or 4# to set it again)

Hi,
I need help on
TVA and TVS systems have master passwords that the installer has. If you lost the password to 999, then your installer can probably come out and reset them. If you have lost the master password, Panasonic can restore that, but it's not easy.
If you happen to have the password for 998 and 999, you get there by pressing #6 *99x at the login. Put in your password and IIRC admin is option 5 or 6 in 999.

How many phones can we
I'm guessing yes, but it depends on what system it's plugged into. In the U.S. Panasonic sytems come in 308, 616 and 824 models in the TA series, but only 4x4 default in the TAW-848.
These would be the systems most common for the 7731 phone.
So, when you locate the cabinet, if it's a TA-624/824, then you'll see a board with 11 modular jacks, 3 for lines and 8 for extensions. In the 848, it will be 4 lines and 4 extensions if it has not been expanded. If it's an old KXT30810/61610, you'll see the extra jacks on the sytem.

I have a panasonic kx-t7731...having
A 7731 phone will function on any one of 18 or so different Panasonic system cabinets. Now, which "user guide" are you looking at? SYSTEM speed dial is set from the first extension or the maintanance console of the phone system. PERSONAL FEATURE (speed dials on the right side of the phone) are pretty much universally programmed by PROGRAM button, 9+ number STORE.
What do your instructions say?

HOW TO TURN ON CALLER ID
D on a 7730 requires 3 things, CID service from the phone company, programming on the sytsem, and a CALLER ID CARD. The card can only be added to TA-624/824, TAW-848, TD-816/1232, and TDA/TDE/NCP sytsems and has a part number ending in 93.
The card either fits on top of the CO card or in the cover of the system cabinet and plugs into the main board. The price of the card is about $50-75 per port and they come in either 3,4, or 8 port versions, for the particular system.

How do I program a speed dial out side number on
What happens when you dial "9" on the intercom? If that gets you an outside line, then press PROGRAM, one of the buttons, and dial 9 plus your number and STORE.
Hmmm...Speed dial :-)
If you get a vacant line at "9", then you need to reprogram your 400 line access on your phone sytem to disable the vacant lines.
