Will higher amp hour batteries damage the motor on my CTM HS-2800
Absolutely not. Higher amphour batts don't put out more voltage, just more voltage longer.
The 2800 takes U-1 gel cell batts that run about 33 amphours...good for about 12-16 miles. You might be able to fit bigger batts in it, but measure first before you buy...gel batts are pricey.
It never holds a charge,
Babble replace the batteries and check out my tip on charging your new batteries. if Medicare paid for your chair then they will cover most of the cost of new batteries contact the provider that sold you your chair and ask if they can change the battries for you Hope this helps
I have a red block that looks like it should plug
This sounds like a service plug. Two different style shapes, one square and one rounded at the top with two connectors inside. This is where if it went to be serviced, they can connect it to their service machines, I wouldn't worry about it.
Intermitant drive power on my ctm hs 740 mobility scooter
The problem is going to be your motor. After extensive usage, the motor will give up internally and some times it will burn and melt the possitive/negative cables at its housing and it will give you issues with the batteries and the module.Luis CTM: 909-590-1388
