My Mother Has a Walgreen's

The M is the sign for a pressure failure - the unit can't detect the pressure in the cuff, the sensor for that has failed. Since it reads 0 pressure the pump is kept going and the only way to stop it is to power down the unit.
There is nothing you can do about that since there are no replacement parts available. Time for a new one. BTW the expected life for this unit is, as the manufacturer declares it, 2 years - yours has lasted more than twice, it has done its job beyond what was expected of it.

Wont inflate

Have you changed the batteries, recently? If not that may be the problem. Most of the Walgreens brand Blood Pressure Monitors are manufactured by HoMedics and have 5 year limited warranty. Check you Owners Manual's "Trouble Shooting Guide" for how to change the 2 batteries and warranty details.

We don't the manual for our model #BPA-440WGN and

We're having consistently high readings with ours, too. We've compared it with as many as two other units at various test sessions.

From the manual:
------------------------
All digital blood pressure monitors require recalibration in order to ensure continued accuracy.

This monitor does not require recalibration for 2 years under normal usage conditions (approx 3x/day), at which time your monitor will display "CA." The unit should also be recalibrated if the monitor sustains damage due to blunt force (such as dropping) or exposure to fluids or extreme hot or cold temperature changes.

To send monitor for recalibration, please ship to the address below with check or money order in the amount of $10 payable to HoMedics, Inc., for recalibration service, shipping and handling:

HoMedics Recalibration Service Center
Post Office Box 7050
Walled Lake, MI 48390

Allow up to 3 weeks for return of product. For additional information, contact HoMedics Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342.
---------------
So, do we spend $10 plus postage and wait 3 weeks or more...or do we use the $10 toward a new one immediately at a Walgreen's a half-mile away? It's a nice unit and works well otherwise, so it's a quandry. I hate to toss it. Good luck.

Can bacterial infections affect specific age groups more than others?

Only in those that are not healthy in the first place or those that are older. Our immune system becomes less effective at fighting infections as we age. This results in older people contracting more infections and they can be more severe.

How many protein bars should I eat per day?

Go with whole food proteins or quality whey shake. Make sure you know what you are eating, Cliff is probably one of the highest rated ones, so two bars would be fine along with normal meals. Whey protein is a naturally complete protein, meaning that it contains all of the essential amino acids required in the daily diet. Whey protein is a rich source of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), containing the highest known levels of any natural food source. BCAAs are important for athletes since unlike the other essential amino acids, they are metabolized directly into muscle tissue and are the first ones used during periods of exercise and resistance training. Whey protein provides the body with BCAAs to replenish depleted levels and start repairing and rebuilding lean muscle tissue. many-protein-bars-eat-per-day-5tupbcjqug4d0rguso2jxeyq-2-1.png

Gatsby Mobility Scooter. The red wrench light is on my scooter, it just lit up.

Question edited for clarity. It obviously means there is a problem, but it is not mentioned anywhere and is not even shown in the Warning Symbols section of the manual. Try fully disconnecting the batteries for 10 minutes as a reset to the controller module. https://www.google.com/search?q=gatsby+scooter+red+wrench+light+meaning ..
