I have a Panasonic NN-s254wf
yes you will need to take it off the wall to access the internal ceramic chemical fuse,it takes 2 people to safely accomplish this task, when off and on a solid working surface remove the outer cover, thgere may be security screws, torx screws which require a special screwdriver, then with the outer cover off the fuse will be in a special clip holder and has a white colored body with 2 silver ends, this is what is called the ceramic fuse either 15 or 20 amp at 125 or 250volts its stamped on the end, before you replace the ceramic fuse, you need to first take 2 insulated screw drivers and short the terminals together on the high voltage capacitor to make sure its discharged(they can store 2100volts A.C.) when the unit is first turned off, some do employ a resistor internally across to do this automatically, but DON'T take a chance, then check to make sure either the high-voltage cap or high voltage diode isn't shorted out with an ohm-meter,because if so the new fuse will again blow, the cap will say something i.e. 1,05 UF at 2100 volts A.C. on it,and the diode can be square or round usually black in color and have an arrow pointed and touching a straight line on the body with 2n lines on each side representing leads,it may have a spade lug on one end and a ring terminal on the other end check these both....good luck....please rate this info on fixya if it assisted you in the repair.thank you..daniel
