2000RS-M Remote Starters Manual Transmission with Two 5-Butto Questions & Answers
Hi what tupe of starter
It really depends on what features you are looking for. I installed Audiovox for 12 years and DEI for 8. I like the DEI much better. The Audiovox always had problems with their remotes and would break down. DEI remotes last much longer and all the options are better on it too. They are the leaders in the field.DEI is the makers of Viper and Python as well as automate.
Installing remote starter what does
When testing the polarity of the vehicle's main power wires for remote starter installation; the run position is the vehicle running. The ignition, accessory and battery wires should read 12 volts in the RUN position. This same group of wires should read 12 volts in the ON position. The ignition, starter and battery wires should read 12 volts in the START position. The accessory and battery wires should read 12 volts in the ACC position. The battery wire should read 12 volts with the key OFF.
I havea 1998 honda civic dx. It has a 5 spd
manual transmissions don't have a dipstick only automatics you check by fill hole on side of transmission. assuming you are talking about trans dipstick and not eng. oil. dipstick.
I have a Nordic Start
its not a problem of remote or the sending unit in the car.because as you mentioned the blue flashes in the sending unit of car and remote flashes when commands are pressed.that means its not reset problem but yes some things has to be replaced and also checked.
1)the remote battery needs replacement(if its just replaced by new then its ok)
2)the car battery which you said got drained try getting the battery recharged and check out.if same problem then new car battery needed.
3)the locks which are not working when you press the remote commands.just check out manually.are the locks getting blocked by rust or dirt getting collected on them.also try to push the locks back and forth with a screw driver and check manually are they actually moving.if not then the locks needs cleaning and oiling first.if still the same problem then the locks needs replacement.as the locks are not functioning.also check out the wires connected at the back of the lock assembly in the control module.if the wires are short then also locks will not function as the command from remote will go to the car but the command from car to locks is not going because of shorted wires or wires loose.
but yes its not a reset problem.

How do auto remote car starters work?
Usually the car start system has a "Valet" switch hidden somewhere under the dash or in the glove box. This is used to disarm the system for when the vehicle is serviced. You will have to locate and turn the switch on, some units have a small push button. In either case it is a good dea to locate it for future use.

2001 Cadillac Deville Northstar Engine thermostat location
4.6 Northstar V8. It is located on the rear of engine (driver side) in front. It is in the the water pump housing cover. Remove air box and intake tube and bottom radiator hose. 2 bolts(believe 10mm) on thermostat housing. These systems are a little finicky about air pockets....so fill slowly and let run at idle until operating temp and let cool and check level.....fill as needed and repeat if needed.
