I’m having trouble finding out about my Gibson midtown 2014 model but serial number unreadable starts with 110140300

Contact Gibson Customer Service to get the info. 1 (800) 444-2766 Without the last of the digits your exact guitar specs wont be available but they'll be able to answer most of your questions. BTW try shining a bright flashlight on the number from an angle and you may be able to see it.

What model is my 2007 gibson les paul serial number 015971360? mild sunburst with a pattern deck. can you tell me what model this guitar is please? i dont think its a studio

George, it's a Les Paul. BTW, I've tried hard to figure out what made them assign labels like Studio and Standard to the LP, here's what I figured out - What makes an LP a 'Studio' is the word Studio graved into the TRC. Conversely, a 'Standard' has the word Standard graved into the truss rod cover. That is it. If you prefer one model over the other - Guitar Center sells the engraved covers. You bet it's b.s. - but that was truly the state of things at Gibson. Maybe when they start back up - they'll build better guitars.

I have a solid body Gibson guitar serial number 906279. What year was it made? Any other info?

That number matches a guitar made at the Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA in 1959. The serial number does not give us the exact model, but a genuine Gibson solidbody made in 59 is likely to be a Les Paul Junior or a Melodymaker. Reverb prices those around US$7000 depending on condition and finish. If it is not a fake (there are plenty of those around) and it does look that old, you could decide to get an online professional valuation from https://guitars.com/appraisals. If you do, take especially good photos of both sides of the headstock and any other Gibson logos on it.

Hi out there, I am trying find the correct age of my Classic Gibson Les Paul and am struggling. it's serial number is 064336. Any help would be great fully appreciated. Thank you

This is actually not an easy question to answer a Gibson (as you may already know) has used multiple numbering schemes..Your guitar may be a 2000... This is from Gibson's site: "Les Paul Classic: This model features an ink stamped serial number with no "MADE IN USA" (just as we used on the original 1952-1960 Les Pauls). Most will be 5 to 6 digits in length, but the earliest examples feature 4 digit serial numbers. There should be a space after the 1st digit with the 4 and 5 digit serial numbers, and no space with the 6 digit numbers. The 1st digit indicates the year of manufacture for the 4 & 5 digit serial numbers, these were used from 1989-1999. The 1st and 2nd indicate the year of manufacture for the 6 digit serial numbers which we've been using since 2000. Examples - 9 xyx = 1989 (4 digit number beginning with "9" used only in 1989) 0 xxyx = 1990 9 xyxx = 1999 00xyxx = 2000 05xyxx = 2005" http://www.gibson.com/Support/Serial-Number-Search.aspx/ Alternatively many people have gotten the best answer by calling Gibson directly: USA: 1-800-4GIBSON HTH!

Hi i purchased a used L/H 2014 335 black gibson made in usa SN 10454706 i brought it for $2500 with gibson case & papers craftmanship MY OPINION POOR is this the real deal thk you ...graham

Checked 2 different sites for that S#, both came back invalid. There are internet sites that can help you determine authenticity. This site has some other info you may find useful (I think it will include saying 'invalid' to your S#, but you can input it yourself just in case you or I missed the #. Just because it's not in the database does not automatically say 'fake.' Your response that it doesn't play well says 'suspected fake.' It could be an accident. I take all my new guitars to a luthier for setting up the action and checkout. That may be a good option for you. Your luthier could possibly tell if it's legit. I JUST PURCHASED A GIBSON A-1 MANDOLIN SERIAL # 22000 AND WOULD LIKE TO VERIFY THE DATE ej

Was it supposed to be an old one ? I found A1's in the 22000 range on the site below as made in 1913-15. Give the site a shot. No promises. They are listed on page 17, just click on the page # if my link does not go to it. Got a pik of one in that range. If you think it's one of these 100yr old instruments, get a professional appraisal. Good luck. Tag me with a comment about it if it is really old and value would be interesting. The second link does appraisals and have a pik also.
