No solution-I have the same exact proplem-faulty product-plan to send it back

Flashing red light indicates battery is bad. Flashing green light indicates charger is bad.

It sounds like the battery is ruined. It may be best to replace the battery.

This could be the life of the battery as there is another question along much the same lines. I suggest that you take it back to the dealer and discuss it with him and take it from there. Take into account that any attempt to fix or adjust any part of the machine will void your warranty.

Faulty charger or battery - I would suggest you return it under warranty.

According to the manual it only advances 1/2" so if 4" break off, you have to start/stop 8 times.

It's probably not a good idea to do that - the manufacturer designed it to cut 10", and it probably works much better at 10" than at any other diameter.
