there is a possibility it might use the most common 6203 2rs or 6203 2rs 5/8 bore, these are a hard motor to work on, you must be careful pulling the front bearing as it is easy to bend the threaded portion of the shaft, and breaking or bending/breaking the start switch is always a possibility, and these parts are near impossible to find ! most of these are 6203 2rs c3 bearings used in this motor. here is a picture on how to remove your pump for service, i would suggest professional repair to avoid extra costs.. just search your area for yoour local pool pump motor repair guy..remember to prime the pump after any pump repair ..jay

a suction leak will cause the pump not to prime... check the lid gasket, lid for cracks,pipes and valves. you can rap the fittings with electrical tape, to help you locate leaks.. a shaft seal is a good start, this will allow you to ree the condition of the impeller . it may be plugged, also see if there is cracks in the hair basket it will allow trash to get into the impeller

a picture on how 2 remove sta rite , remember to prime the pump after any repair !.. the shaft seal used on this pump is a 100 or a 200 . i use pac seal mechanical shaft seals cost about 10$.. go kits are not required on 90 % of repairs $$

Check the control wire that might be connected to the control fuse. If that wire is open the unit will only cycle thru the board information and the sit dormant until the control is called for.

Try changing the Thermal Regulator. You could just remove the T/R as a test and replace as necessary.

replace the mechanical shaft seal. check impeller and diffuser for damage . prime pump after any repair
