But don't give up; many manufacturer's re-use others' control codes. Therefore, I recommend using the One For All URC-1050 Code Search feature to find the compatible codes to control your device.

First look up your TV code in the manual (link below). Some TVs are manufactured by another company, so you can try codes for the manufacturer's TVs as well. Funai makes a number of brands (including Emerson); your TV manual may indicate the manufacturer. Then turn on your TV, if possible. Then press and hold Set (just below the LED) until the LED blinks twice. Enter a four-digit code with less than 10 seconds between key presses. Press the Power button and check if the tv turns off (or on). If the TV does not respond, try a different code. Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:

just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Your remote is pre-programmed with the following codes for Samsung TVs:

0060, 0030, 0178, 0019, 0056

Please note that if the remote is older than the TV, these codes may not work and you will need to use the original remote supplied with the TV, or a new universal remote.
