Power inverter

There are 8 40A fuses inside this unit. In the following pics you will see a bank of 4 and another bank with 3 of the 4 removed. I'm currently working on mine as it will cost me more to ship and have Cobra repair than I paid for the unit ($133 to repair). Good luck with your problem

How do i connect 4 batteries in series

Here is the way to hook them up in series, or in parallel. There are 3 batteries in top (series) pic, but a 4th would be added in same wiring manner. Disregard the letters "ve" in diagrams, but the +/- polarity is vitally important in hookup. . Note that four 12v batteries hooked up in series will be 48 volts at the end terminals. (If all four are hooked up in "parallel" then the total would still be 12 volts). If you want to supply a 12v inverter, you need to hook 12v batteries in PARALLEL. 25264091-qfq135rbyaww4100mh5sfw32-2-2.jpg

Cobra inverters problems

Well certainly the loud humming sound and flashing numbers are annoying but no where near as bad as the existence of your fake self centered wife who uses you for your paychecks and is a pathological liar. Have you figured this out yet? It runs in her family-she\'s a psychopath...you best get a real woman or else-a you gonna find yourself knee deep in alimony payments ie in a divorce if her age plus the years married ad up to 65 you pay her for a long time. I think she just hit that magic number-expect she will discard you soon. Beat her to it buddy!

inverters run on a square voltage unlike normal 110 runs on a round voltage, the only 2 things that won't run on the inverter is fans and electric blankets

Hi,
That depends... some use 35 watts and some can use up to 200 watts...

Look on the bottom of the machine and on the rating plate it should tell you what the max wattage is///then make sure you inverter is large enough to handle that number of watts...

I have a cobra cpi2575 inverter and the led screen

We hope it is still new and can be returned, do it as fast as possible.

You will find it hard and very costly to repair it.
Starting ad 75.00 an hour with the bill being around 175. before your running again.

If at all possible Return it and consider it a lessons learned and purchase an nicer Pure sine wave inverter in the 1500 watt size area. they tend to be much better and are much more capable of running full time under a load.

Sad new I'm sure for you SORRY. I'm a Seven inverter owner with only one good inverter to show for all the trouble.

r/ David

Whats wrong? I cannot use a coffe machine 1600

Hi,
That should work....
Are you connected directly to the battery???
Are they good solid connections??
Do the connections heat up and spark/smoke....or does the inverter kick out??
You are about maxed out on what you can run on that setup, but it should be running for you...sometimes a heating element load can be problematic though... they pull more they you think or they say they will...

Whatwire size shoulds I use

I would use a minimum of #4 copper. I would get this as a welding cable type because of its flexibility. #2 size is a better choice if you plan on using the inverter for long periods of time.

Can a 2500 watt inverter run a 5000 btu air

5000 btu consumes about 500 - 700 W in cooling and obviously it should be running from 2500 W inverter.

It is obviously, but the conditioner has a compressor which needs some more (about 2, 3 times the rated) starting power, which is in it's bigger part reactive power which is not produced by the inverter and depends on the output condensers of the inverter.

It should be tested, and if the start is difficult some more condensers may be added.

I have 5000W inverter & hooked up to my

Could it be L.U.P. it's really L.V.P. but the V looks like a U. If it is it's low voltage protection. If the incoming voltage drops below 10.5 volts, it begins to flash. If the voltage drops below 10 volts it shouts down. If you supply it with 12 v it should restart. If you don't have manual you can view/download one from www.cobra.com.
The low voltage could caused by low battery. Poor connetions. Wire too small for load being supplied.Inverters over 1500 watts will require #1/0 or larger cable, in the shortest possible length. NOTE: Cable size recommendations may vary among inverter brands and models; check the Owner's Manual for the model you purchase before you buy the wire for it.
