Diagram of the location of the float switch
Suggest you test the intake water valve during operation to determine if the machine is "telling" the valve to work.
If there is no electricity flowing, it could be a bad control, or perhaps another part is preventing the control from sending the signal, for example, the door switch is saying "the door is open" hence it cannot spray water.
Give a try to "Sears Parts Direct" with your make and model and you will see a blow -up of all the parts, may help you find the float switch location, I hope.
God bless your efforts.

My Bosch SHU 5315UC timer stays at 2Hours, and
Hi
This issue is either due to short circuit or moisture on the control board. You'll need to access the control panel by removing the front panel from the dishwasher. Part#1A is the control module.
To remove the front panel---
1.Remove fascia panel by removing T-20 Torx inner door screws.
2.Disconnect wire harnesses from module after noting connector locations.
3.Pry out metal console tabs holding module to console.
4.Carefully pry back plastic tabs, then slide module from console.
Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

I have a SGS53E72AU and it isn't draining away. I
First of all you must set the machine to a soft/quick wash and let the cycle run. During the process of the program check the voltage on the pump during the drain cycle. It is important that the controller unit supplies voltage to the pump. If power is presetn without a drain,it is evident that the pump is faulty. You must remove , set it up on desk to trail with external votage, clean or backflush , if not the pump must be changed unless a fulloverhauling is not sucessfull.
If there is no power to the drain pump, then it is the fault off the program controller unit. You will need to check on the controller for the absence of the power, fault in contacts, fault in the drive. Must use a good multimetter to trace the path of the triggered supply voltage to the pump. make sure that the voltage is not cut off in the wires to the drain-- possible line break.
Please go through these tips and check out. You have to do the voltage checks but have caution when checking all power points.
My BOSCH dishwasher has stuck
Possible that the porgram controller is faulty and is shorted inside this drive.
you will need to remove and reset once again to make sure all connections are tight, if not the controller must be checked or swapped to confirm
Bosch dishwasher SHU4000 problem starting, not draining
Drain problems are almost always going to be a clog. Disconnect the drain hose from the air gap vent at the sink top. Place a bucket under the hose and run the drain cycle. Unit should drain. If not, clog is either in drain hose or under the dishwasher's internal filter. Remove filter. Locate the item causing the clog and remove it. If nothing is found here, the problem will be in the air vent gap filter itself. Disconnect the other hose and remove the air vent gap from the sink. There's a small cap at the top of the filter. Press the clips in to remove the cap. Flush the unit with water or use a thin, long blade screwdriver to remove the debris.
Put it all back together and test again. You should be fine.
Dishwasher stalls
If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:
Water-heating cycleTimer
Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:
- On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.
- On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.
Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.
