My Bosch shu3307uc pumps out all the water at the

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post I understand you have a Bosch SHU3307UC dishwasher, correct ? Firther to this you.ve stated "slowly fills the bottom between cycles, even with little or no activity at the sink"

It sounds to me like the fill valve is at fault unfortunately. This is a very common problem for Bosch dishwashers of that era.

A faulty fill valve...sticking in the "open" position either due to the plunger in the coil getting stuck or sediment inside the valve body impeding it from closing correctly...Either way you're safer to change it with the history of these valves failing.

This is what to look for...

As long as your model is indeed a Bosch, this info below will be accurate.

Original part is # 425458. It usually retails for about $20 - $30USD at places such as "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclinic.com" to name a couple, if needed. They may be available at your local brick & mortar parts depot/vendors.

**Before attempting to repair the unit please turn off the power and the water supply to the dishwasher...safety first**

If you remove the lower kick plate/toe panel, you will see the inlet valve to your left...

i.e.

Replacing it or to check for debris in the filter/screen at the inlet is pretty straight forward. Here`s how...

1) undo the water line. ( here you can visually inspect the screen in the valve...if nothing noted, you'll likely need to replace it as follows )

2) Remove the two #20 torx screws fastening it in place.

3) the feed tube to the machine at the back of the valve and swap it with the new one.

Once the new one is in or it's all clear you should be good to go.

It stopped running and has a smoke smell. It will

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post "It stopped running and has a smoke smell. It will not drain or do anything." it may just be a loose/burnt connection in the dishwasher junction box or a severed wire in the door panel.

** I would start by first shutting off the breaker...safety first**

Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom )...

macmarkus_133.jpg

...and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

i.e.

60f6a31.jpg

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

Typically this will manifest in just the manner you've described.

If it looks OK there I'd remove the outer door panel ( careful the edges are sharp ) via the six #20 torx head screws...

macmarkus_168.jpg

...check for a severed wire at the pivot point in the door, typically covered in a plastic casing as shown here..
.

macmarkus_169.jpg

The small plastic blocks which may be present in the bottom corners of the door panel, i.e.

macmarkus_170.jpg
...they can be a pain to re-install, but they do only go in one way, however it is ok to leave them out...their only purpose is to strengthen the structure.

Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you further if necessary. Thank you for choosing FixYa today for your inquiry.

We have a Bosch SHU3307UC dishwasher. Two friends

Put dirty stuff in will eventually keep a tech like me very busy. We love to come and charge you alot for cleaning your dishwasher. Remember the Maytag commercials where they put a cake in it? Still got the dishes clean but before long it will cost you big time. Just run everything under the tap. Pot and pans should be lightly washed also. Watch how you place the dishes. Most dishwashers spray up from the bottom. Block it, and the spray will not reach the top.

Bosch dishwasher S10R1B: Water not pumped out

Normally it is the impeller which is stuck. Take out the dishes and the filters and empty it for water by hand. Yes it is a dirty job. Then at the bottom there is an opening in the steel where the water is collected. Empty this too. At the bottom left there is a torx20 screw that keeps the cover for the impeller. remove the cover and check that the impeller can move. The may be object stuck
You canalso force the safety mechanism in the door with a screwdriver and try to see if the impeller moves when it is supposed to empty water.
My problem is that I did all this but it still does not move. It may be the impeller motor which is broken. To replace that one is not easy.

Hi, I have a Bosch

bosch dishwashers will run forever if it can't get the water to 150 degrees. it can't get it there because either the heating element is bad, or the solder joint on the control board that contols the heating element is bad. you can order a new board, of if your mechanically inclined you can take the board out and resolder the bad spot
