Bosch Washer
Yes, check the brushes. Our 7-yr. old WFK-2401 just stopped spinning and a brush change did the trick. Repair people wanted $350 for a whole new motor, but it was only the brushes. Replacing them is not very difficult if you are somewhat handy with a 1/2in. wrench and have some common sense about mechanics and electrics. Just look carefully as you loosen motor - disconnect its wires first, and think, and study, and try to understand what you're doing. I took lots of photos just in case. In the end it was easy; make sure to get belt off motor and motor will be out in no time; just two bolts to undo. Also, make sure you put brushes in properly - their tips are slanted and need to go in the right way and make full contact with commutator inside. Again, common sense.
Bosch sells brushes, also RepairClinic.com, for slightly more but real Bosch parts. I paid the latter $45 with shipping - Bosch part No. 154740.
Another option is to take motor out and find local motor repair shop and have them do it. Bosch won't help you.
Power to the people - and the motor!

Bosch Washer WFK 2401
leaks could be from anywhere. remove the top and back cover, put on a cycle and try to trace where leak is. sorry if this is not very helpful. water in filter should not smell. this may be due to using liquid detergent which causes a smell like drains if used over a period. put on a boil wash and revert to using powder
My bosch wfk2401 front loader is stuck on spin
Hi
There is a door bottom right of the system which has a screw out (by hand) plug.
Remove this and ensure there are no foreign objects such as coins, bobby pins etc stuck.
I have found this to be a problem with the Bosch systems and cost me $150 the first time.
Ensure you have some towels as when you open the plug, water will escape

Not Draining or Spinning
Check to see if there is a removable lower plastic cover at bottom front of washer, if there is remove it ,and on the lower right hand side, you should find the pump filter.
Unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
Loud noise
There's probably a penny or something in the drain pump. I've had this happen several times and it's easy to fix.
1. Make sure the washer is drained.
2. Remove the plastic panel at the bottom held on with the two plastic screws.
3. Drain the last bit of water into a pan by opening the cap on the black rubber tube.
3. Unscrew the big white cap on the left.
4. Look in there and you will probably find a penny or hairpin, etc.
5. Put everything back together.
I think your manual will probably describe this too.
Changing bushes on bosch classixx1200
To change brushes in Bosch motor.
Remove rear panel of washer, undo 2 screws that secure motor at front end, remove motor plug, lever motor back with a screwdriver or similar, and remove motor retaining a hold on it,\ so as not to drop it .
Replace brushes fitted at rear end of notor.
Refit motor and belt.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
Bosch WFK 2401 hot water wont shut off even if you turn power off
I can help , If the unit is leeting water in with the power off the only thing it can be is the water inlet valve , it is the componet you connect your water line to under the unit behind the front lower panel. Tell me if you have any other questions and let me know how this works out.

Washer won't agitate
this sounds like it is a relay on the module (main pcb) if the carbon brushes have been fitted correctly then there is a fault on the module, these items are replaced as a unit, i would also look to see if the machine has a capacitor fitted, this also could have the same effect and would be a much cheaper repair to start with, a capacitor is normally situated at the top where the mains wire enters the machine, its normally about 2 inches long and 1 inch round with 2 wires from it,
work with safety unplug before doing anything
