Loud, low (bass) noise, not coming from the vent or the heating element

Most probably caused by one of the belts being frayed and about to break. You might want to replace the small drive belt (00096426) first as it does the most work of transferring the motor power to the shaft causing the drum to rotate. A worn belt can cause a low frequency hum and potentially slow down drum rotation as it slips on the hubs. Replacing the large drum belt requires a lot more work than the drive belt because you must remove both the front and side panels of the dryer; whereas, the drive belt is accessed by removing the right side panel.

How do you unstack a Bosch Axxis WTA dryer from a Bosch Axxis WFL 2050 washer?

You do not state the type of stacking kit installed on your Bosch washer. The installation instructions of one of the stacking kits is found at the site Assemby Instructions Bosch Axxis Stacking Kit /WTZ11310.pdf . First remove the front concealment strip to expose the front of the mounting kit. Gently pry with a wooden tool to prevent damage. Once the it is exposed, there are two clip inserts in front of the dryer feet that must be removed. Once these are removed, you pull or slide the dryer forward to release them from the stacking kit and simply lift the dryer off of the stacking kit and the washer. The stacking kit itself is attached to the washing machine with four screws that must be removed to separate the kit from the washer top. And with that, your dryer and washer are separated! But after separation there are two additional problems that may be bothersome to you. The first is that you now have mounting holes in the top of the washer that are exposed and the second is that the feet on your dryer may need to be replaced as parts of the feet may have been tossed during installation of the stacking kit and may need to be replaced. The assembly instructions above show only the basic stacking kit. Some kits included a slide that pulls out to allow for a handy tray but the installation or disassembly is nearly the same.

How to remove front lower panel

Before starting any repair, make sure that power has been unplugged at the wall. 1. Start the process by removing the top of the dryer by unscrewing the two screws at the rear with a Torx bit (a set of bits are available for less than $8 at amazon.com). 2. Remove the two side panels of the dryer by lifting up and out of the slots. 3. Next pull out the top control panel (no screws!) and disconnect the various connections, taking photos to ensure correct reinstallation. Place the panel aside for protection. 4. Now remove the door from the dryer with the two mounting screws (often, these same screws need to be retightened in use because they can be loosened by vibration). 5. Remove the door mounting panel from the frame. Four screws hold on the mounting panel; two are used to attach the door and the other two are used to attach the panel to the front assembly. 6. Before removing the rest of the front frame assembly which holds the drum in place, put a couple wedges in at the bottom to hold up the drum and to prevent damage to the rear bearing. If you damage the rear bearing you will need to replace it, too. If the bearing is damaged, it will provide a lot of noise until it is replaced! 7. The front frame assembly is removed with six more screws; four at the top and two at the bottom. Lift up to remove. 8. The front of the dryer is now fully open for whatever repair is required. 9a. This is a good time to install a new dryer belt as it can be easily slipped over the drum. A loose but unbroken dryer belt will decrease the efficiency of your dryer resulting in higher power costs. A broken belt makes the dryer useless. 9b. To install the dryer belt, release the tension spring on the drive pulley on the bottom right side, pull the belt over the pulley, and then reattach the tension spring to the frame with a pair of needle nose pliars. 10.. When repairs are made or the dryer is cleaned (recommended!), you can reverse the order of disassembly to restore your dryer to its original use. During reinstallation of the top control module, reconnect the wiring exactly as shown in your photos and be careful not to pinch any wires that could cause a short and make your dryer inoperable. 11. After you have reinstalled the top on the dryer, plug in your dryer to the power mains supply and enjoy new found efficiency and joy in doing the job yourself!

Sheets wind together in a damp ball

I have a different model Bosch dryer, but I have the same problem.

I've found that the flat sheets dry okay if you have them in with other things (like pillowcases and t-shirts). I learned long ago though that you can't put those things in with deep fitted sheets; the little stuff winds up caught in the corners in damp wrinkly wads.

So I dry the fitted sheet separately, and throw in a couple of clean tennis balls. They're noisy, but harmless, and they keep the sheet from balling up.

Bosch WTA2000 tumble dryer motor turns weakly without the belt.

The brushes in the motor are probably shot. Good luck in finding those though, best to just replace the motor.

Boash Axxis wta3510uc does not power up.

See this causes and fix it. God bless youPower From The House Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Door Switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch. Thermal Fuse / Thermal Cut out On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel or behind the front panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing or is sometimes round and made of metal and plastic. If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse this is the most common reason for blowing the fuse. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.) Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached. Main Control The main control board may have failed. To check this check the two main feed leads entering the control refer to the tech sheet located on your dryer. The two leads are usually a separate plug of heavy wire. Check to see if power is entering you should have 120 volts. If not the problem is not the control. If you have power coming in and nothing is illuminated the main control will need to be replaced or the Timer will need replacing 10_18_2012_3_57_15_am.gif

Bosch axxis WTL lint indicator problem.

I have been struggling with this lint filter problem big-time. After reading the previous user's comment that his mesh holes had become clogged, I took a closer look at my filter and noticed that the tiny holes in the mesh were, indeed, clogged up. In fact, when I initially ran water on the filter it pooled up on the mesh like a solid plate...pretty good sign that air wasn't able to pass through the filter properly.

I used a soft toothbrush and soap to clean the filter, and when I ran water to rinse it off it the water passed right through the mesh. I popped it back in and, voila...That fixed it!!

Bosch tumble dryer

I've sorted mine this morning. First, disconnect from the mains - VERY important! Pull out the metal condenser unit at the bottom, and behind it, there's a small hatch in the bottom to the reservoir. This can get gunked up with water, and is very difficult to clean - HOWEVER - I've found a really easy way of cleaning it. I've got a VAX carpet washer with a hose attachment, and I simply sucked all the water out using that. If you don't own a carpet cleaner maybe borrow one. I did this this morning, and my tumble-dryer's still running happily after an hour! It is possible to clean it out without vacuum, but it takes a LOT longer, and the vacuum of the cleaner pulls out gunk that is hard to access. Another place where gunk collects is behind that hatch right at the back - there's a tube up to the right. I pulled out quite a long chunk of lint. However, that wasn't the solution on it's own, I still had to clean out the reservoir as above.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com

The problem could be a faulty belt sensor switch. Open dryer from the back, switch is on bottom left side. It is white and has a black arm with a spring on it. It is a safety feature that, in the event the belt breaks, the dryer will shut off. If the belt is not broken wiggle it and try to start the dryer .See if it works.
