SINGLE VALVE SHOWER FAUCET TURN

I can think of a few possibilities. 1) Something is blocking the hot water in to the mixing valve. Fixing this would probably mean cutting out the valve (then redoing the water lines with a new valve (possible option)).

2) The hot water line is losing too much heat going to this second faucet. (If the two tubs are on different floors this is more common. Many places are plumbed with one line with Ts to all fixtures.) Insulating the water lines might help; alternatively an point of use water heater would help.

3) The hot water and the cold water in are reversed. (Test by leaving the water on full cold and full hot for a few minutes each.) If you get full hot when it should be cold, valves with a cartridge are easy to fix. Open the valve assembly, remove the cartridge and reinsert it after turning it around (side closest to you when you removed it goes in first). Otherwise, the incoming plumbing needs to be redone at the point where the cold and hot lines come into the shower.

I hope this helps.

Sometimes its possible to remove the handle and using a pliers or adjustable wrench tighten the nut and this will tighten up the rubber packing's in the shut off valve. if it does not work it will have to be taken apart and installing new rubber packing's will surely solve this problem easy inexpensive fix, parts are available at any hardware store.

The device the sprayes water

The shower arm should be screwed into an elbow inside the wall. Unscrew the shower arm by putting your pipe wrench on the arm and unscrewing in a counter clockwise direction ( lefty loosey, righty tighty ) . Measure the length of the arm going inside the wall and make sure your replacement has enough length to reach. Teflon tape the inside end ( the end going in the wall ) and wrap a rag around the new arm, then screw into the elbow going clock wise , stopping when it starts getting tight and with the bend facing downward. Install shower head.

I replaced the stem on

When you replace the stem in a faucet you also need to replace the seat. The seat is in the faucet you will need a special tool to remove it. There is a picture on the link below.

Water changes to hot while showering

it can be that your geyser is not sending enough cold water to the pipes of your shower so you should check the sensitivity of your tap/valve. it happens sometimes that the tap turns as the water comes into contact with it. it can also be that cold water is used by someone else that also uses your geyser's water

Is the price pfister 016-HH7C shower head any good

I have had good luck with price phister brands, they are as good as any, and they stand behind them. Water pressure is variable depending on where you live, If you live in San Diego, you have great pressure, If you live in Old Town, FL, you have pump pressure. The faucets can be hacked into for more water, but not necessarily more pressure. If you have good pressure now, you can expect the same. Hope this helps.

I just installed a Price Fister shower only mixing

70 lbs, you must have city water, were lucky to get 30 lbs out here in well country. Most mixers sold now days are restricted, water saver devices, but most are also in the ends of faucets. You might not be able to get more pressure out of it, but if you look at the diagram of the faucet, you might see something that says, water saver, or restricter. If it can come out, take it out. Hope this helps.

Have stripped out faucet knob...how do i replace

Take the stripped handle to a local hardware or home improvement store.

They may be able to find an after market knob or knobs that will work as a substitute - they usually use set screws to hold the replacement knobs in place.

What is a meat tenderizer?

This is used to tenderize meat before you cook it. It makes the meat easier to chew and digest. You can also use it before you boil or fry meat. You can do this mechanically, with something like a meat mallet that cuts up the meat fibres. You can do it thermally by putting the temperature really high to break down the connective tissue of the meat. The last method is enzymatic and uses enzymes to break down the collagen. This method is either slow with dry-aging the meat or you can use fruit to marinate the meat.
