How do I remove a Moen Brantford towel bar from
Same problem. The key to releasing it is finding the 'latch' of the 'spring'. I wish I could upload a photo. It just snaps off the way the battery compartment opens on your TV remote. On a TV remote if you apply too much pressure then you break the 'latch' on the battery's door, as we all know it is about applying pressure it the right place of the 'spring'. Once I got the correct placement of the flat head screw driver it was easy, but it took me 30 minutes to figure that out and I broke a piece of the towel rack.

The Moen YB2824 is attached to the mounting bracket with a set screw through the base. You would simply need to loosen this set screw to remove item from the wall.
Why did my Moen 3838 Castleby Four Function Showerhead suddenly start gushing water from the base when in shower mode?
There could be several reasons why your Moen 3838 Castlebar Four Function Showerhead is suddenly gushing water from the base when in shower mode. Some possible causes include:
- Clogged showerhead: If the showerhead is clogged with mineral buildup or debris, water may not be able to pass through properly, causing it to gush out of the base.
- Leaky diverter valve: The diverter valve is responsible for directing water to the showerhead. If it is damaged or worn, water may leak out of the base of the showerhead.
- Damaged showerhead: If the showerhead itself is damaged, water may be able to leak out of the base.
- Incorrect installation: If the showerhead was not installed properly, water may leak out of the base.
- Loose or damaged O-ring: An O-ring is a small ring that seals the connection between the showerhead and the water supply. If the O-ring is missing or damaged, water may leak out of the base.
It is best to check the instruction manual and troubleshoot the issue or contact Moen support if needed. If the issue is not resolved by troubleshooting, it may be best to consult a plumber or contact Moen support for further assistance.

Pulled a moen 96909 and replaced with a 1222. the 1222 does not go in the bore far enough to put the clip back in.
It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the installation of the Moen 1222 cartridge in your faucet. The Moen 1222 cartridge is designed to be a direct replacement for the Moen 96909 cartridge, so it should fit in the same way. If the 1222 cartridge is not going in far enough for you to reinstall the clip, there may be a problem with the cartridge or with the faucet itself.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Make sure the cartridge is oriented correctly: The Moen 1222 cartridge has a specific orientation that it must be installed in to work properly. Make sure that the cartridge is oriented correctly and that the stem is facing the right direction.
Check for any obstructions: Make sure that there are no obstructions in the bore or in the faucet that could be preventing the cartridge from being fully seated.
Make sure the faucet is properly disassembled: If the faucet was not properly disassembled before installing the new cartridge, it may not be seated correctly. Make sure that all of the internal parts of the faucet have been removed before attempting to install the new cartridge.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to seek the assistance of a professional plumber. It is also possible that the Moen 1222 cartridge is defective, in which case you may need to return it for a replacement.

Hot water coming out of tub slow
Two possible options i can think of.
1) the hot water valve at the hot water tank is partially closed. look for a lever that can be opened fully. the valve could have become faulty.
2) a copper line from the tank to the faucet might be bent somewhere in the middle
