Bulova Men's Watch Questions & Answers
How do you remove back from bulvia watch
Some have a pop off case, find the "lip" on the case back and put a small screw driver or anything else metal that will fit under it and pry it off that way. Others have a screw on case back and will have 6
square slots around the outer edge, you will need a wrench for this that you can find on ebay
I cannot get the back of my Bulova watch back on.
Most Bulova Watches have PRESSURE TIGHT backs. Meaning the back is applied with EQUAL amounts of pressure to the entire back. There are two(2) solutions:
1. Take the Bulova watch to an experienced watch dealer/repaiman, to have the back applied, or
2. CAREFULLY MAKE SURE THE BACK IS IN THE PROPER POSITION, then WRAP THE ENTIRE watch with a soft, cushy clothe and with a pair of pliers, CAREFULLY apply pressure to the center of the back plate, until the back covers seats to the proper depth(closed), at the same time BEING VERY CAREFUL not to crack the watch crystal!!
I have a bulova accutron
One of the two buttons is a mode button when you push on that button digits on your watch start blinking. Once the digits start blinking keep on pressing the other button till you get the desired digit and then press the mode button again to fix the digits and likewise you can set it for minutes also.
How do you open the back of a bulova watch
You need a special tool called a case opener, if you flip the watch over you should see 6 square slots on the outer rim, this means that the back case is screwed on and probably has a water proof seal, keep in mind there are different sizes. I suggest you check ebay for watch tools, you might find what you are looking for.

You could always ask the maker (go to Boluva.com and get the address of your nearest service center).
It seems s unlikely that they will be able to help with such an old watch but you never know your luck. I'm sure that they will be pleased to hear that your watch is still working after such a long time!

Hello I have the same watch and had the same problem. You press the mode button till you get to the point to change the main time, you then press the reset button (bottom button on right side of the watch)to toggle to the hour place, you then cycle thru the time untill the "h" in the top right hand corners disappears and then the watch will be back on regular time.

My bulova watch isn't working
Even you change a new battery with desame size and volts not working. The problem is in the terminal where going to put the battery. The terminal had a dirt or a film residue that comes out from the battery, you better clean terminal by scratching the old film, the lying down terminal is negative,,the side terminal is positive you better observed polarity if happen inter change the battery side it will not works. If not working, even you clean already terminal, short the terminal connection for 3 seconds,If you have a flourescent with a ballast, put your watch lying where there is strong vibration for five minutes, your watch works 100% txt me whatever the result so i know it's ok.
Setting the darn thing
If you don't have the instruction manual you can go to this link and on the right side of the page you can type in the model number. (it will tell you where to locate the model number) I tried this for a Bulova from 1998 and it worked but I don't know how far it will go back but it's worth a try.
