I have the Braun 9595

DC motors usually do need to aligned to controllers however, with electric shavers they are usually sold together as a "drive unit." Now as far as your shaver goes, I could not find a replacement drive unit and what I did find showed that it was discontinued. Sorry. Braun 9595 5671 Pulsonic Parts

How do you replace a

I replace my Bruan 7680 battery. I place the order for battery from Amazon, cutter& foil from goodmans.net. The following is my procedure 1.Using a small flat screw driver to plier the plastic socket lock (Where the charging located ) 2.Disassemble left and right plastic holder 3.Disassemble plastic cover top and bottom 4.Take out the circuit board where the battery mounted on. Please be careful at this process you could ruin the circuit board while taking the old battery out(I used a soldering and a small wood stick just to take the extra flux away from contact to other on the circuit board). It is not as difficult as I thought. 5.During your install a new battery please make sure that the batter pole does not go the same way(Check direction of a battery before taking it out so you do not put in the wrong direction) 6.Putting them back together. Note #special tool required to take out the circuit board from a mounting? My the battery replacement came with the tool)

Braun Pulsonic Razor - Pop up trimmer will not retract entirely

I ran into this problem several months ago. I just shook it and forced it until it retracted and never thought anything of it. The trimmer recently broke (still functioned but extended beyond its normal point) and I took it apart. I realized that there were a few broken parts inside (possibly because of my earlier experience). So I removed the few parts and now it still extends to far, but otherwise functions ok if I'm careful.

I would recommend taking yours apart and seeing if you can find any parts floating around which may be causing it to not retract all the way. It may be broken beyond complete repair, but you may be able to get a little more use out of it.

If nothing else, you can order a new casing for it from here

Here are the instructions for taking it apart:

The shaver itself is easy to take apart. The part on the bottom(opposite from the shaver mechanism) pops off with just a slight bit ofprying. Be careful not to break the pins though. Once you have thatoff, the narrow sides pop off pretty easily. Then you can remove the 4screws opening up the interior.

Be careful at this pointbecause there are a lot of parts that may fall out. (Perhaps take apicture as soon as you open it so you know where everything was whenyou opened it). At this point you can try your hand at fixing it (minehad 3 parts broken and loose inside), or you can simply switch it withthe new casing (Which i'm going to do when I get it). Good Luck!

You will find compatible batteries at shaveroutlet.com. You will need two. See link below. http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/shaver-replacement-battery-aa-nimh-p-108.html

Scroll down the page for a helpful disassebly video
For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

Can I repair a cleaning unit (5468) for a Braun

Does the cleaning station no longer recognize the shaver? If so, it's possible that the contacts have been bent out of position. It's a bit tricky to fix, though. You'll need to take the unit apart and then bend the contacts back into position. Alternatively, you can buy used but working examples of these cleaning stations off of eBay.

Clean and Renew stand for braun 8595 does not seem

The circuit board on the shaver may have become faulty. One thing you can try is to fully charge the shaver first, directly connected to the outlet, and then try using the cleaning base. Also, be sure that the fluid level is sufficient. Lastly, you may be able to buy a used but working condition cleaning station off of eBay. New replacements are a bit costly.

Just replaced motor assembly now always shows

The motor assembly and the fluid level indicators are completely independent components and any coincidence between the timing of the problem with the cleaning base and your repair of the motor unit is likely pure coincidence. More likely, the cleaning base is at fault and will need replaced.

The on/off slider is stuck on

The trimmer/switch is broken. You will need to replace it. You will find the components that you require at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/braun-8995-8595-and-8795-body-housing-with-trimmer-p-684.html

To replace the part you will need to remove the 'cap' that surrounds the cord hole on the bottom of the shaver by gently prying it off with a small flat screwdriver or similar object. Once removed, the side grips will easily pull off revealing 4 screws. Remove screws to seperate the front and back case. The inner parts simply lift out and you can put them into the new case

Cannot switch from '1' to '2' to '3'

The problem is that the switch assembly is broken. You will need to replace it. It comes with the whole outer case of the shaver and is available at shaveroutlet.com. See link below.

http://shaveroutlet.com/braun-8995-8595-and-8795-body-housing-with-trimmer-p-684.html

Yo replace it, you will need to first remove the 'cap' on the bottom of the shaver. This is a piece of plastic that surround the hole on the bottom of the shaver where the cord plugs in. Gently pry it off with a small flat screwdriver or similar object. Once removed, the side grips will simply pull off revealing 4 screws on the back. Remove screws to remove the back cover. Then list out the internal components.
Reassemble in reverse order

8595 Pop-Up Trimmer Broken

http://www.electricshaverstore.com/get_item_7030247_braun-housing-silver-activator-type-5643.htm

This is the best solution I've found. (Found it thanks to another forum). Its the whole casing which includes the trimmer. Frankly, I'm not going to argue with the price.

The shaver itself is easy to take apart. The part on the bottom (opposite from the shaver mechanism) pops off with just a slight bit of prying. Be careful not to break the pins though. Once you have that off, the narrow sides pop off pretty easily. Then you can remove the 4 screws opening up the interior.

Be careful at this point because there are a lot of parts that may fall out. (Perhaps take a picture as soon as you open it so you know where everything was when you opened it). At this point you can try your hand at fixing it (mine had 3 parts broken and loose inside), or you can simply switch it with the new casing (Which i'm going to do when I get it). Good Luck!
