Your shaver is a 'Series 9' type. There are many Series 9 models. Only the models with 'cc' following the model number are compatible with the clean and charge station. Models with 's' following the model number are NOT compatible with the cleaning stations

Possible bad battery

It is hard to say for sure which component on the circuit board is burned. But, if the shaver will not work after putting the battery in the correct way, it has been damaged beyond repair.
