Mx Black Max 24v Cordless 1/2 Inch Drill / Driver - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do I replace the chuck in my drill? It is making a grinding noise.
Chucks DON'T make grinding noises!!!!!
The grinding noise is probably coming from the REDUCTION GEARBOX which is located behind the chuck [the shaft upon which the chuck is mounted comes out of the gearbox].
There are usually four (4) screws mounting the gearbox housing/cover onto the motor/handle section of most drill/drivers.
The cause of most grinding nioses originating in the gearbox is lack of lubricating grease between moving parts.
Where can I buy another battery
Could not find one listed in the stores. You can call 1-800-248-6657 and you need part #JDB240R I'm not sure of the price but with the difficulty in just getting a battery depending on the price you may be better off purchasing a new drill.
My charger does not work.
Hello. I do not know how much you paid for your drill but I do know that they were available at Sams Club recently for $20.00 including the charger. What you will run into is the situation where finding a charger will be difficult and what will be even more difficult will be justifying the price when an entire new drill with charger will be $20.00. I have searched for a charger to no avail. As with many products now coming from China, they are replace not repair items. Joe
Drill is less than 2 years old and the battery
Even if you don't use it, it will die in 2 years. It is the battery, I have piles of batteries and piles of old drill motors that we don't buy batteries for anymore, because it is cheaper to buy a new gun with fresh batteries than it is to buy 2 batteries. There is no better, best , they are all the same. We have every brand made in the junk pile. Hope this helps.
I have a Black Max 24V, model JD610424 and when I

The charger is broken,doesnt work.
Generally chargers are considered replacement only items. They consist of the box, the power cord, and a printed circuit card, which generally cannot be repaired if something has burned out, etc. About the only repair that can be done is replacing the cord if it is faulty.
