My bht150 bostitch is jammed

First slide off the rubber grip This will expose a pin that you will need to remove. Remove the two bolts on top of the hammer with a 10mm wrench. These bolts hold the striker plate guide. Place the hammer in a vice to lightly compress the hammer head. Remove the allen head bolt located on the end of the head. This bolt holds the striker slid that strikes the staple. Remove the pin that you see that was under the rubber grip. Just tap with a punch and then you should be able to remove it with a small set of pliers. Now slid the enter assembly back just enough so that the jammed striker slid will come in contact with the striker guide face. Turn the hammer over and strike the top of the hammer on a piece of wood. This should free the slide and jammed staple. The staple and slide will come out. Take a file and deburr the slid and add a dab of grease to it. To reassemble, Attach the slide guide first, but leave it loose. The rest is reverse order. Hope this helps.

My PHT150 SharpShooter is jammed

Sometimes a bit of the staple material will be sheared off and jam the hammer in its guide, keeping the tool compressed. On the business end of a PHT150 there is a notch in the hammer housing and a slot on the staple carrier. Most times a standard screwdriver can be used by sticking the tip straight into the slot and using the notch to leverage the the two apart. If not, you can clamp the hammer housing in a vise and, using the screwdriver in the carrier slot, tap away from the hammer housing to release the jamb.

Tre550 stopped working

Problem is the safety micro switch. This is engaged when you press the gun against the surface. You can open the gun and short the wires. Do remember will not safety switch and hence you must ensure others know this - no children!

Stanley 10-777 utility knife: I need to reinsert

I had the same trouble. The blade holder was out of the knife and would not go back in. I fixed it this way: open the screw knob all the way to the least tension. Slide the two parts open but not all the way- there is a tab on the blade holder that gets in the way if you try to drop it in at the fully open position. With the two halves SLIGHTLY open- slide the blade holder in making sure that the tab is seated in it's slot. Depress the thumb tab and bring it to the most forward position and the two halves should be able to be seated together again.

Parts

I have the same sander, and cannot get parts anymore, so I carefully cut out a piece of sheet metal, and drilled holes, and put it on. so it might not say stanley, but who cares? I don't. and if it doesn't last as long, who cares. its more help than I got from stanley, who was bought out in 1973 from what I read.

I bought a used stanley

There will be a button to push in which will lock the spindel. After locking the spindel you need to undo a nut using a wrench or spanner.

Can't reload utillity knife fat max10-778

Hi Mark,

I have several of them. Are you having trouble getting the handle to open up?

I have found that the blade needs to be all the way in to open it. Also, to get the blade holder to sit right.

If this is not the problem, please reply back. Thanks,
Handie Andie

I inherited a stanley industrial

Stanley is usually very good at keeping PDF's on their site for most all products, but I could not find reference to this model. Verify the model number is correct, and try one of these numbers: Canada: 800-463-9872 U.S.: 800-262-2161
If you prefer e-mail contact, here is the link to their site:
http://www.stanleytools.com/default.asp?TYPE=STATICLEFT&PAGE=Support.htm&LEFT=left_support.htm

This may not be the answer you were hoping for, but the service staff are really easy to deal with and I'm certain they will be able to help you out.
