Problem with battery connection

if you remove the battery and look into where the battery goes at the bottom you will see the two prongs that make contact with the battery pack gently pry away from the side not to far but just a bit if you can not insert battery when done you pried to, far just bend them back until all works properly

I changed the gas cylinder in my paslode framing

Make sure you have the correct gas cylinder. There are more than one type of cylinders for these nailers. If it is not correct it won't seat and gas will leak. Whiring sound is normal, fan mixing oxygen. Make sure "O" ring is in place under the gas cylinder.

My paslode im350 will only fire at 90 degrees and not in any other positions has any one got any ideas what the problem is?

You or who ever worked on your tool last didn't replace the lock out spring. I see this all the time. Its a little spring that holds the lock out down so the safety can engage. I bet when u try to fire the gun upside down the safety doesn't go all the way back.

Paslode IM250A 900600 fan runs all the time. Gun

You have a stuck head switch - it is part of a circuit assembly (#89), it may be the actuator (#66) causing it. https://www.toolpartsdirect.com/paslode-90060-cordless-16-gauge-angled-finish-nailer.html

Paslode finish nailer fan motor

If you send the model number I can give you a specific part number, but the issue is the head switch is stuck on. This can be caused by a bad switch or the cylinder not returning entirely.

No spark, is there a way to test spark box?

Not really, you can check the spark unit by taking the cylinder assembly off as a unit and you will find a lever at the top, put a battery in tool and depress this lever, the fan should run for a few seconds and then shut off, next depress the trigger and the same should happen. Then while holding the lever (watch fingers on fan) depress the trigger and you should get spark, if not I would look for a loose spark plug wire at the spark unit, check for the wires grounding on the head assembly and broken wires there also. Also when checking at the spark unit make sure one of the 2 plugs is not partially pulled up. The simplest thing to replace is the circuit assembly, but if you have it apart it would be worthwhile to take it to a shop and see if they can change one part or the other to ensure you get the right one first. Hope this helps.

After a service with the correct oil and paslode spray cleaner my fan will not operate.

instead trying looking at the switch(s) both for the trigger and the trip switch near the top depending which model it is some have the wires and others have the circuit panel setup which is far more finicky. does your fan run when the trigger is depressed at all?

Dismantled gun to fit new circuite assem. small spring and z shapedflat steel piece fell out from the nail exit jim

Its called a lock-out, it goes close to the nose. On either side of the nose there are two screws. It goes on the side that has a slot between the metal plate and the plastic. Unscrew the two screws remove the plate it put the "z" and spring between plate and plastic housing. Put the two screws back. Now check to see the lock-out is being pushed up by the feeder when there are no nails in tool

My paslode doesnt work! battery is charged but when i fire the fan makes a wee noise! i opened it and put battery in and pulled trigger and the fan move half a turn. what could this be?fan or wiring?

Morning Andrew, When was the tool last serviced? Seems rather strange that the fan has only turned 1/2 a rotation. Sometimes, the trigger unit can fail on this tool but.... I'd suggest that you don't try too many times as potentially, you could burn the fan motor out? Just a thought though, if you disconnect the power to the fan, can you either see or, hear the spark being generated? Regards Alex Leigh Co Limited

Nail gun will not fire green light on gas ok after drop on congrete floor

A quick diagnostic check. First remove gas cell press nose against solid surface to dispose of any gas that may be in chamber. 1. Insert battery - LED should flash. 2. Press nose against solid surface - LED should be lit permanently (if still flashing possible fault moulded circuit board or fan motor micro switch lever, if flashing red green high possibility motor fault). Listen to hear fan running if not heard fan blade may have fallen off motor. 3. While still pressed against solid surface press trigger and watch LED - LED should blink off then light again (may flash red on guns newer than 2006) If does not blink fault either Spark unit (controller) or moulded circuit board trigger micro switch. To test for LED blink again release pressure on nose then press again. The blink indicates that a spark has been sent to the spark plug. 4. If 1 to 3 are OK problem most likely gas related or leak in seals. Ensure driver blade not still forward a possible fault of sticking forward after being dropped is nose slightly bent this traps the driver blade when first fired and does not return. (jammed nail gives a similar fault.) If nose is the fault it will require a new sleeve. The moulded circuit board is normally cheapest then spark unit and sleeve roughly about same price the motor is most expensive. Hope this has been some help to you.

Why want my paslode shoot nails all the way

Did you adjust the depth piece on the front? You can move this piece all the way up to try to nail deeper. Also, I have tried nailing two pieces of oak together with no luck. It leaves the 2-1/2" nail about 1/8 to 1/16" above the surface.

My paslode cordless framing nailer won't shoot? It has a loose o ring at the top

The most common issue is bad fuel. It doesn't matter if you just bought it, many stores don't rotate their stock - check the date stamped on the bottom of the cylinder. The cylinder o-ring is generally loose fitting and the spark plug is very seldom an issue. Is the green light on the handle flashing when you install the battery? Does the fan run when you depress the nose? Those answers will help narrow down your problem.

My nailer will not send the nail all the way in

Good morning Daft though it may seem, is the depth of drive adjustment set correctly? If so then it could be either gas that is out of date or a fuel cell that has not been manufactured correctly. Just pop a brand new cell that is a genuine branded product and see if this cures the issue. If not, then take it to you're local repair centre.
