Sounds like your motor could be burnt out.

You have either bent the blade and its to high to cut or you need to sharpen the blade with a grinder.

The power switch is not operating properly and needs to be replaced or adjusted if possible.

I would look in my owners manual and get the part number for the height lever and order a new one. You could also try and wire the height lever so it can not move. I am not sure how it engages but you could may be try and bend the lever so it is tight and won't move. Just a couple of ideas.

you could check the brush connection on the motor or your switch mat not be making contact

does it have a main fuse besides a breaker ?

This is an indication that the magnet ring has been damaged , it would be better to replace the unit than to repair it , as repairing may cost you much , but can't assure you guarantee that the unit would work fine.

In contrast if you get a new unit you can have the warranty/guarantee which you can make use of.
