I want to change my deLonghi Dehumidifier from
You may have a older model that has a collector tank with a protruding tube on it. If so just cut the end off the tube and slide on a piece of clear 9.5mm internal diameter PVC / Rubber tubing suitable for a fish tank air / water pump and secure it with a nylon tie wrap.
Continuous external draining for newer models with clear collection tanks.
If the appliance is to be operated for long periods of time but you are unable to empty the tank, you are recommended to use the continuous drain facility.
• Drill the inside of the drain spout using a small drill bit. This is located behind the rear grlle in the lower centre of the opening.
• Fasten the rubber hose to the spout. For models without drain hoses supplied, we suggest you purchase a rubber hose around 2m long, with an internal diameter of 9.5 mm.
• Make sure that the hose is not higher than the spout, otherwise water will remain in the tank; also check that the hose is not twisted. N.B: Keep the rubber bung. You will need it to plug the hose or close the spout if you revert to draining into the tank

No longer works. It
Hi there,
Well first of all you try cleaning the Filter. E1 error is indicating a Sensor problem, Sensor located behind right side grill. Take right side grill out, unplug sensor from wire socket and plug back. If further you have the same problem then you need to change the Sensor.
Good Luck!!
Thanks

Dehumidifier not working
I had the delonghi dehumidifier and ran into similar difficulty. It frose the humidity instead of draining it and turned the evaporator coil into a block of ice. Their service desk may tell you otherwise, but my difficulty was in the unit controls. All manufacturers must play by the same thermodynamic rules and I don't think they understand them. Their guarentee required me to shlep it to a service center an hour and a half away. I took it back to the store and got my money back. I was attracted by their built-in condensate pump, but that couldn't overcome lack of performance.
I bought a soleus 40 pint unit, put it on a shelf screwed to the wall and gravity drained the condensate with a hose. It's quiet and I haven't looked back.

Dehumidifier seems to not be dehumidifying
If your
dehumidifier doesn't seem to run often but the humidity in the room is
high, try adjusting the humidistat control on the dehumidifier to a
dryer setting. If the dehumidifier seems to run constantly, but there's
little or no water in the container, there may be a problem in the
refrigeration system. Try cleaning the unit. If that doesn't work, you
can't repair the refrigeration system yourself, you need a qualified
appliance repair technician to do that.

I have an ebac15 dehumidifier. When I moved it there was an oily liquid underneath. Why would this be?
There could be several reasons why you're finding an oily liquid underneath your Ebac15 dehumidifier:
Refrigerant Leak: If the dehumidifier is leaking refrigerant, it could result in an oily substance pooling underneath. Refrigerant leaks are often accompanied by an oily residue1\.
Compressor Issue: A malfunctioning compressor can cause refrigerant leaks and result in an oily substance accumulating underneath the dehumidifier.
Condenser Coil Leak: If the condenser coil is damaged or deteriorating, it may lead to refrigerant leaks and the presence of oil underneath the dehumidifier.
Internal Component Failure: Internal components such as seals or tubing may degrade over time, leading to leaks of refrigerant or oil.
Improper Handling During Transport: If the dehumidifier was tilted or handled roughly during transportation, it could have caused oil from the compressor or other internal components to leak.
Given the potential hazards associated with refrigerant leaks, it's advisable to discontinue the use of the dehumidifier and consult a professional technician for diagnosis and repair.
