Look in the back of the unit, most ovens have the conversion kit and instruction manual on them. If not, most hardware stores or appliance parts stores carry the kit.

Sorry to hear about your oven,
Are you in the GTA , If so call 905-501-8436 for a free quote
If you are elsewhere , how handy are you or a friend.
With the plug pulled, put a Ohmmeter across oven elements.
They should short out. That is good. if not replace element that didn't short out.
If both elements work then it is you thermistat, which is not to hard to replace

It is probably an element that is causing the trouble, as it gets hotter, the insulation resistance breaks down, and if there is a weak spot or hot spot it causes the trip to operate.
I'm afraid it is a question of elmination, trying different functions, until you isolate the problem.

Yes, it is most likely that the oven heating element has failed.

The setting with the fan is fan only function.
The setting with the fan and circle is for fan and element for heating the oven.

It is usual to be able to adjust oven door hinges.
Normally the only solution is to replace the hinges.

Yes it is repairable, it is going to be one of two things.

1--the control knob is cracked or broken causing it to twist round without turning the control.
2--the spindle on the control is broken or loose inside the switch.
Pull the knob off, and see if yopu can turn the switch on and off with a pair of grips or pliers.
This way it will enable you tell if it is just the knob or the switch that is faulty.

If it is a fan assisted electric ovenn, and the fan is working o/k, then you need to replace the oven element, usually located at rear of oven compartment.

Unplug the unit, in case the bulb breaks. Wrap a rubber jar opener over the bulb and unscrew it. Make sure you're turning it the correct direction. You might have to go back & forth a few times to break it loose.
