Sounds like a lower motor controller, that would be the first part I'd replace. Be aware that treadmills have a high power draw and if you are also running other power suckers on the same circuit, the low voltage tends to short out the console or the control board.The control board is easy to get to, and cheaper to replace than a console, but not cheap. You can also call the 800 number on the front of your owner's manual and they may help you diagnose it.

Dear Sir:Inside test the fuse and replace use DVOM, or reset the c.breaker2) Adjust the reed switch see the diagram attached, clean,and tight the connector very well. Tigh the ribbon cable from keypad + connector from display board vs lower board3) Lube the deck vs deck belt, this produce enough friction.4) test the input motor voltage,if there are the motor need repair or replace5) Test the output voltage from the m.motor board for the input motor voltage, if there are NOT the board is faulty.6) Try after your fix, the software calibration for diagnose, and troubleshooting. sincerely. Switchthe power off without unplugging the machine. Do not take the safety key out ofits place.

Inspectthe bottom of your console. The calibration switch is in a small hole. Insertthe eraser end of a pencil into the hole and softly push the button. You willsee CL11 on your console after you push this button.

Usethe Speed + or - key to select MPH or KPH. Push the Power key to save yourselection.

PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet . Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications . Important: The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. b. After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is inserted into the console. c. Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, wait for five minutes.and then press the switch back in. d) Please check the power cord maybe is broker Testign with DVOM(Digital Voltimeter). e) Test the circuit breaker of the House, and Reset, see in outlet box if some wiring is loose.

There are Allen bolts on both sides of the base, on the end away from the console. Turn one bolt one way the other the other way to move the belt from side to side.

This is probably not your ideal solution but just in case it is helpful here is a list of the models of the proform crosswalk 405, if you select your exact version you can purchase a new owner's manual.

Depending on which version you have (last digit after the model #), you can click on your specific version here to purchase a printed manual for the ProForm 831.29730.. if you can't find one for free online.

Here you can find parts for a lot of Proform equipment. I would try to find your specific model there and see if they have it.

your treadmill's belt is loose. You have to tight the belt from the both side.
all the treadmills follow the same procedure for tightening the waking belt. Watch the following video for the same.
