I called Smooth Fitness and talked to the Service Tech. The oil can symbol is basically a reminder to oil the tracking or underneath treadmill matting. The symbol will go away, from that Service Tech told me. You can also purchase a Silicon Spray(PArt 8300) for a few dollars instead of buying Smooth Fitness's Silicon Oil for about $35.00+. Oh, our model is the 5.25.
Oil can is showing. Where

My 5.45 doesn't is slower
Hi well see what has happened is your speed control sensor is most likely out of adjustment or faulty? There is no way to tell without testing it, it also maybe the interface to the microprocessor too, again no way to tell. This is a quite common problem, the only real fix is parts replacement, some simply replace the sensor and interface "on spec" as it were, meaning just replace it without testing as it's most likely faulty.
In reality there is NO way to alter adjust or the like in a DIY setting. As one must have a taco and a current meter to adjust the speed settings and output from the sensor.(Some, not all, have an adjustment on the main board, that can be tweaked, to adjust the speed, BUT it must be calibrated, a certain way, & with a tachometer, and this information would only be available via a service manual if one could be obtained?)
In saying all this though it still may simply be a microprocessor fault? again without testing it is impossible to tell?
The best thing you can do really is to get it looked at by the manufacturer/supplier, simply ask for a "Quote" as to prospective costings and go from there? This way at least you will know how much it may cost if you decide to go ahead with any repairs.
Thumping noise that increases with speed
OPEN MOTOR SHROUD SO YOU CAN BETTER INSPECT THE UNIT CHECK THE DRIVE BELT THEN I WOULD CHECK THE RUNNING BELT TO SEE IF THEIR IS ANY DEBRIS THAT THE BELT ITSELF IS SPLITTING SINCE YOUR SAY A THUMPING SOUND. SINCE KEYS FITNESS MADE THIS UNIT THEY ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS, BUT TREADMILL DOCTOR HAD PURCHASED THE PARTS. SO GO TO TREADMILL DOCTOR.COM THEY MAY HAVE THE PARTS YOU NEED
Smoothfitness 7.1hr would not run
Sounds like the motor is stuck or bad. Get into the front panel near the roller and remove that cover and check it with a volt meter
My treadmill slows down when using then pops the circuit breaker
you have to much on the circuit, you need to have a circuit put in just for your treadmill. That is why you keep popping the circuit, it not hard to do just look in your panel and see it you have a open slot ,it so go to lowe's and get you some 12-2 with ground and a 10amp breaker, and a outlet box cut a hole in the wall the size of the box and then drill a hole in the floor. Push the wire down and the go under the house and pull it too the panel you will see a pipe with wires running up it , or just use the outlet for the mircrowave .
