Remove the console from the treadmill and remove the back
remove and replace the ribbon cables that run from the keypads to the control board (they are flat plastic strips that push into the board).
remove and replace all the connections on the console
reattach the console and calibrate by doing the following:
1. With the key off press the speed + and stop buttons at the same time and hold
2. place the key on and release the buttons
3. press the stop key once
4. press the speed up til it reaches 85
5. if your max speed is 10 mph then it should read about 9.8-10.2
If the keys will not work then the console is bad and would need replaced.

How do I move my Proform Treadmill to another room
I have moved this treadmill several times since we bough it. Up and down stairs and from one room to another. I also used to be a mover so I hope this helps. I am not sure what model you have but i have the 525x. To move it I make sure the incline is set to zero, list the track/running section and lock it into place with the locking pin located on one of the handles. The Proform i have has attached wheels so i lean it back and get it close to the door standing straight up. Once there I turn the treadmill slightly and get one side through the doorway then I pull it halfway through the doorway. If its a tile, wood or linoleum floor make sure to put a rug under the treadmill to protect the floor. It will also helo it slide through the doorway easier. Then tuun the treadmill slightly the other way and get the other half through the door. Once there i tilt it back on its wheels and move it where i want it.

Icline does not work
If the incline moves but only just a bit, it could be a problem as simple as the gearbox on the motor being jammed. Remove the motor from the treadmill, reconnect the wiring, and then try to run the incline motor outside the treadmill. Many times, this will unjam it if that is the problem and then reinstalling it in the treadmill will get it to work. If you have the same problem or it doesn’t run outside the machine and you can hear it try to work, you need to replace the incline motor.
If the incline motor does not move, we need to figure out if the motor is getting voltage. Use a simple multi-meter and set it to AC volts. When you put it into calibration.
Press the Stop and the Speed Up keys down while inserting the safety key. Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, or the like. This means that it passes the EPROM test.
Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically.
After completing calibration of incline, press the Stop key and then remove the safety key.
When it tries to calibrate the directions one at a time. Measure across the white and black wires first, then measure across the white and red wires second. If the motor is getting voltage you will read 120VAC (or thereabouts) . If you have voltage but the motor won't move, you need to replace the motor.
If the incline motor does not move and you have done the voltage test and you do not have any voltage present, there is a problem in the electronics board that supplies the power. If the console is powering the drive motor as normal, you can bet it is getting an incline signal and the power board needs to be replaced (some models have an integrated power board/controller) so if there is only a single board the whole board has to be replaced.

I have a proform 525s
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. If you have already tried lubricating the deck then you need
to check for a sheet under the motor shroud which will give you the calibration
procedure on how to go about it. Also check if the motor is working fine, if it
is then check if there is uninterrupted power to the unit. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt
is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift the edges of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

If you can start ,stop ,incline up & dn and change speed without fluctuation and the belt does not stop. Then the speed sensor is working, sending a signal that is reaching the processor but may have some op amps that are defective in the upper console display causing no read outs, If what I have read by your description that would call Icon Fitness @ 1-800-999-3756 they will confirm what I think has happen and will give you a price on replacement

It keeps shuting down
If your on it and the duration is every 15 min then the unit needs to have lubrication applied between the belt and deck with a silicon base lubricant.
If that does not fix the problem then you may have damage the belt and deck and they need to be replaced. Since not knowing the manufacturer' name refer to your owners manual for contact info

The belt is slipping and making a squealing sound
This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the
walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two
bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the
back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a
time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other
side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn,
check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten
the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do
not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2
turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it
could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt,
start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor
then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once
the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third
problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to
be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.
