Problem of video playback
dv6-7020
so VLC fails. for a local file...
well here are all possibles, if it worked before, did it?
no OS stated, is the XP? the virus magnet?
no file stated, there are like 100 video formats.
AVI, FLV, MP4, to name 3, which was it?
never post leaving out what operating system running.
1: virus infected.
2: if you download VLC from any source besides makers IT WILL BE INFECTED for SURE.
3: the system is running, too many startup programs slowing it way down. NO OS stated, (w10 is different)
in W7, click on run box and type, MSCONFIG, run that.
see the box tab called startup, those need be be shut off
shut them all off, but AV and say Malwarebytes (yes get it)
you need to clean the OS, off all Virus and malware,
this can take all day on many ive done.
reload the OS, with the F10, or F11 per the HP.com instructions.
you can run CCleaner free, from authors side piriform and no OTHERS.
you can run ESet standalone, cleaner, from eset.com
its a portable app, free then is very powerful,
the reason Video plays slow (stalls is slow too.)
is for many reasons.
most are this , AV infected, file is fragmented, run DRAG on the drive holding the VIDEO FILE.
or the CPU is over loaded.
learn to use task manager, controL +ALT+DEL KEY (At same time)
click on line that says, CPU so the hungry progs go to top.
see them , if confuses, on those names post them or use photos.
best is not having extraneous programs in memory.
one that bugs me is the HP printer manager, it remove, it.
not the driver, the silly manager that is a pain and steals system
resources or worse ****** Norton AV get rid of that if present..
i can type here for days telling you all the things not to have in memory. but will not. (ID HAVE TO TOUCH IT AND SHOW YOU)
A simple fix exists.
reload, that Unstated OS.
press F10 or F11, to do that. HP hot key for OS refresh and repairs.
