Screen states Lube Belt ,

hi,

It is necessary to lubricate your treadmill running deck every six months or 150 miles to maintain optimal performance. Once the treadmill reaches 150 miles, the console will display the message "LUBE" or "LUBE BELT". The treadmill will not operate while the message is showing. Hold Stop for 5 seconds to suspend message for 5 miles. Your treadmill came with a bottle of lubricant which can be used for two applications. If you need lubricant, contact Horizon Fitness. Only use lubricant provided by Horizon Fitness.

• Turn off the treadmill with the on/off switch, then unplug the power

cord at the wall outlet.

• Loosen both the rear roller bolts. (For best results, place two removable

marks on both sides of the frame and note roller position). Once the

belt is loosened, take the bottle of lubricant and apply it to the entire

top surface of the running deck. Tighten both rear roller bolts

(matching up the marks for proper position) to original position. After

you have applied lubricant, plug in the power cord, insert the safety

key, start the treadmill and walk on the belt for two minutes to spread

the lubricant.

• Lubricate the air shocks with Teflon based spray.
• Once lubrication is complete, reset the console by pressing and holding 'STOP' and Speed '+' buttons for 5 seconds.

Not doing anytrhing

Depending on which model version you have does the on/off switch light up at the base of the machine? if not the fuse could be gone in the plug. If this is lit up open up the motor hood and see if you have any lights on the lower electronic board. All the connections on this machine are block connectors and spade terminals so everything can be changed. Unplug the treadmill and check all these connectors.

The pulse reading often displays a low value like

Good contact with the grip is essential. Before taking pulse, stop walking and step on side rails and place hands on contacts.

Try gripping the handlebar contacts over the top, with your thumb next to your index finger instead of gripping it with your thumb under the handlebars. Contact heart rate grips are not intended for continuous reading. Rather, try holding the grips for 10-20 seconds at a time for an accurate reading. Static electricity can damage the heart rate grip receiver and/or grips and cause either an "HR" or no reading at all.

Hi Jerich,

Make sure that the area where the button connects is clean and there is no carbon collection over there.

I would give you one idea, as you have said that you have tried pulling the sticky bad up , check if you find the connectors for the buttons , when you find them you need to clean the connectors with a liquid like kerosene , so that the connectors are clean.

If the above method does not work then you need to replace the board as the fault is a chip level fault in that case which stops the buttons from working properly.

Hope this helps ...:)

Horizon CT 7.2 treadmill - the buttons that are located between the handles (where is the start button) aren't working.

Question edited for clarity. It is a Treadmill, not a THREADmill. Question moved from Video Consoles. Not a good idea posting your email address as a user name!! This site get 11 million viewers a year including thousands looking for addresses to harvest and spam. Fortunately most spare parts are still available. I was looking to see how the console gets its power, but it is not shown. Some use a small wall plug in transformer, so use a board transformer of the mains supply to the whole treadmill. You would need to trace with a multimeter. You could also clean behind the button with switch cleaner. https://www.fitnessrepairparts.com/equipment/Select/26678/Horizon/Horizon-CT7.2-2013-TM685B https://www.fitnessrepairparts.com/equipment/26678/diagrams/44632 https://www.google.com/search?q=Horizon+CT+7.2+treadmill+parts ..
