Consider this. If your vacuum is still under warranty, removing the hose will void the warranty on the hose. I strongly recommend calling an authorized dealer/consultant.
Although it may seem to be fairly simple to remove the handle, there are wires that need to be disconnected in order to separate the handle from the hose, gaining access to the toy. And reconnected. If not properly done, attempting this may lead to needing to purchase a new hose.

My electrolux guardian power nozzle

There is a reset button/switch on top or bottom side in most of the vacuums.Check out if there is one in your model. If no then its a internal problem. When the bed sheet stuck up in the unit.At that time the short happened in the unit and it stopped working. In the unit there is a motor which spins to start the suction in the vacuum cleaner. But when the bed sheet got stuck up at that time the motor got blocked It tried to spin but was not able to spin and this lead to the short in wiring's.So in this case the first thing to check is any short in between the wires of the vacuum. If wires checked out ok then its time to check the motor and its connections. Its a 11 amp motor. You can check it with meter to confirm the 11 amp from motor. Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Hi, you very likely have a defective control valve under the dial on top of the vac , or a kink or blockage in the tiny pressure hose that feeds the air from the throat of the vac or the back of the bag chamber against the two sides of the rubber diaphragm inside the valve.
You can inspect the tiny hose ports for blockage and clean them with a fine piece of wire. To access the control valve you will open the bag chamber door and slide the bumpers forward with their internal locking keys with a pair of pliers. Once removed the body will open like a **** shell front to back. The control valve will likely have a crack in its threading and can only be replaced with a genuine part available at an AERUS Electrolux store. The fix is a most often a new valve.
This vac is the RUBIKS cube of all vacs. It reassembles with ease when all wiring and tabs are perfectly aligned, so open slowly, upside down , wheels up , mark your wiring and take your time reassembling.
When it all clicks EASILY together without the bumpers, you have it done right

A sock is stuck in the nozzle. won't come out .

Remove the power head from the wand. Turn it upside down on a table or counter. There are 5 screws to remove to take the head off. There are
3 on the long part just in front of the brush roller and 2 more on each corner of the short part. Once you have the hood off you will be able to remore your sock, then put back on the hood.

My Electrolux guardian C135 vac has lost suction.

No you have a clog in the hose, wand or at the power head. Remove the hose wand and power head from the the vacuum. Turn on the vacuum, put the palm of your hand over the hole in front, you should feel plunty of suction. Then replace just the hose and put the palm of your hand over the end of the hose. If you do not have suction the clog is in the hose. You can try putting the hose on the blower port to blow out the clog or use the wire from a coat hanger. If you have suction, then add just the wand and repeat. If you have suction, then the clog is in the neck of power head, you will have to use a coat hanger to clear it.

How to open legacy canister

Take out the bag and keep the door open.
While the bag door is still open, turn the machine upside down so you are looking at the serial number.
Pull the cord out one foot.
Use a puddy knife and put it between the rubber side rails and the **** end of the machine.
Use a hammer or malett to hit the putty knife from the back of the rubber bumber toward the bag door.
Pull the rubber bumber stright out on both sides.
Once both bumpers are out pull the lower body of the canister from the **** end toward the intake of the machine.
Once the bottom is open you can then service the motor, cord winder, switch, and all other components.

The guardian is the most complex vacuum I've ever worked on. The technology exceeds all others. Usually the problem is with the computer board in the handle. My suggestion is to take it to the nearest Aerus Electrolux dealer. http://www.aerushome.com/storelocator/

Splitting the shell on Electrolux Epix 6500

With the vacuum on flipped on it's top and the bag door open, wedge a screw driver between the rear cover and the bumper. Gently tap the side of the screw driver blade toward the front of the machine. Make sure you pay very careful attention to where everything goes. It is very specific inside for reassembly.
