I have an older model

Make sure there is no obstruction anywhere along the hose. Also properly clean the filter and collection bag. This may have become blocked due to the fine ash, sort of sealing the bag.

Power nozzle N106M on our Electrolux Guardian has stopped workin

Start simplest always and work back to most difficult... so make sure you have power to the main unit, do you have a cheap voltmeter? If not they're cheap... Second check that connection plug is not stuffed with debris. Point is isolate whether it is the unit or attachment, most likely it's in the connection and repairable by you or used vacuum repair.

Power head won't come on

There are 2 wires in the swivel neck on the power nozzle. They are prone to coming unplugged. There is a hidden screw under the plastic cover on the face of the neck. Take the screw out and pop the cover off. You'll see the wires. If one is broken, you will need a new neck. They are about $40 at your local vac shop

Electrolux power nozzle not working

the powerhead gets its power through a connector adjacent to the hose connection to the vacuum end. there's two wires embedded in the hose which make its way to the handle, pipe and powerhead. take apart the handle and see if you can read continuity from one end to the handle switch.

Electroluxl modelel6984a how to access cod reel

Turn Guardian on it's back, remove all screws from around the perimeter of the base, turn vacuum over on its' wheels, and pull up on entire casing (after removing HEPA Filter on top). It will come off but do so gently as to not disturb original parts settings inside. With 30 yrs. experience dealing almost exclusively with the original Electrolux, I have a legitimate store front business and do service by mail at a reasonable cost if interested. [email protected] Hope that helps! Mick

Wiring diagram

The only place I know of fora wiring diagram for a Guardian is at the local branch office. The new name for the Electrolux is now AERUS. Check your phone book. There is a fuse wire that runs from the cordwinder to the triac circuit board inside the vacuum canister. You have to take the six screws out of the bottom. Open the bag door and lift up on the top handle to remove the top part. It is vere advisable to take your vacuum to the branch office that has a qualified service manager. You can do more harm than good on the inside of the machine.

any Aerus deler will have the plate go to aerusonline.com they have dealer listing in your area. Beware they will try to sell you a new one. Part should be around $10 you may want them to put that axle and spring and cover on it is hard to do. A hint though for a DYI the spring barb goes in a little square hole in the weel channel. Good luck .
