A single black vertical line, 1mm wide, from almost top of paper to almost bottom appears on each and every page copied using the ADF

It may just need cleaning of small glass. See video tutorial. It's on an HP printer, but they are very similar when it comes to ADF unit. Hope it helps you.

Printer keeps restarting

Try resetting it by pulling the plug while printer is turned on. Then hold the power button down for about 30 seconds. Then replug printer and turn on - see what happens.

Purchased the ciss ink system for my epson wf-3540. the ink tubing keeps getting pinched and the ink isn't flowing continuously.

I installed a CISS system in my WF-3640 which is very similar to the 3520. I just leave the top open and put a small piece of white eraser in the slot where the cover peg would go into. That way the printer thinks the top is closed. Yo can print, scan, copy, fax, etc., with the top open. 25894793-opgoiob1tdlyqkk44gdot2sc-2-0.jpg

Why did my printer die after a firmware update?

Maybe the firmware update did not take properly and screwed things up royally. Happens. It is for this reason that upgrades should not be attempted unless they are absolutely necessary. If it is working fine, leave it aloneDitto for computer operating systems.

With this paper jam, I opened the scanner unit and can see the paper, but there's not enough showing too grab hold of it.

try a pair of long nosed pliers or adjustable grips if you have some. I would also try some strong tape, sticking it to the paper to get as much purchase as possible and then pulling gently , steadily rather, but firmly good luck with it

Epson wf 3540 paper jam in adf and the mechanical system keeps on grinding in there. Is there a video somewhere on how to open the ADF and align parts in there

The ADF just pops open from the left side of the printer. There's some finger holes and just lift up the lid. As for grinding, it may be busted unless it got a sheet of paper in the gears.
